King Duncan’s View is a recently renovated traditional Scottish bothy, beautifully converted to provide spacious and comfortable accommodation. Sleeping up to six adults plus two children, this two-storey property enjoys spectacular views towards the surrounding mountains.

The spacious living area features comfortable leather sofas, a log-burning stove and a TV/DVD player, creating a welcoming place to relax after a day exploring Aberdeenshire. A dining table provides seating for up to eight guests, while the fully fitted kitchen includes an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer dryer and coffee machine.

King Duncan’s View also offers disability-friendly facilities, including a ground-floor bedroom and wet room. The downstairs bedroom has a super king-size bed which can be separated into two 3ft single beds.

Upstairs, the second bedroom also features a super king-size bed which can be converted into two singles, along with a leather sofa bed and an en-suite shower room. The third bedroom has a king-size leather sleigh bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath.

About Drumhead Cottage

The accommodation comprises an entrance hall, an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area, a utility room, and three bedrooms. Cluny Cottage is a cosy self-catering holiday home that is located on Cluny Crichton, a lovely farm in the North East of Scotland at Raemoir. The area is surrounded by walks and children can enjoy seeing the animals. Our holiday home is just a short drive from Banchory and 18 miles from Aberdeen, making it an ideal base from which to explore the beautiful Aberdeenshire countryside.

The holiday home is an attractive bungalow that can sleep up to 6 people. The holiday home includes a king room and two twin bedrooms, which is ideal for family holidays. The accommodation also consists of:

Lounge with TV and DVD player.
Separate dining room.
Spacious kitchen with dining area, electric cooker, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and wall-mounted TV.

Our self-catering holiday home is in the perfect spot for enjoying a relaxing and tranquil break away. A farm trail is available from Cluny Crichton farm to Kennerty Farm. The trail goes past the ruins of Cluny Crichton Castle which are located near the Cluny Crichton farm steading. There are magnificent views to the north to the Hill of Fare, to the west to Lochnagar and to the south and east over Royal Deeside. The farm trail links in with other hill and woodland walk including the area around the Raemoir House Hotel. These walks are very popular with tourists and visitors. There are also plenty of attractions and places of historic interest that are just a short drive from the holiday home.

The Mill of Tilquhillie provides comfortable self-catering holiday accommodation for 4 people in a former water mill which has been carefully restored to ensure that guests have a relaxing and tranquil stay. The holiday cottage also has its own tennis court for guests to use.

A well-appointed holiday cottage that is set over 2 floors, the open-plan design makes this a truly unique place to stay. 

Outside of the holiday cottage is a beautiful garden area, the property is set within the garden of the owner’s house however guests also have their own small enclosed garden to enjoy. There is lots of open water on site so we ask that young children are closely supervised.
