This is a delightful, detached self-catering holiday cottage with hot tub, rated 4 stars by Visit Scotland, with extensive views of the hills and valley in which the peaceful village of Finzean is situated. The modern, bright and spacious cottage sleeps 5 people in 3 bedrooms. The cottage sits in the large gardens surrounding the owner's house.

About Drumhead Cottage:
Accommodation comprises of hall, open plan lounge/kitchen dining area, utility room, three bedrooms, one king-size bedroom, one single and one twin or super-king.

Bedding and towels included in weekly charge. Cot (excluding cot linen), highchair, bed guard, electric steriliser available. Electric hob and oven, dishwasher, American style fridge/freezer, and microwave. TV, DVD player, iPod docking station, lockable cycle storage. Off-road parking is available and the cottage comes with its own driveway. Weber Gas BBQ and a ramp to the front entrance.

Visiting Banchory & Exploring Aberdeenshire:
The cottage, 7.5 miles west of Banchory, is ideally located for exploring Royal Deeside famous for its Highland Games in the summer. There is a wide range of sporting activities available locally, including hill walking, mountain biking, skiing, horse riding, climbing, fishing, there are 9 golf courses and a driving range within 10-30 minutes drive and an outdoor activity centre within 10 miles providing activities including go-karting, quad biking and 4x4 driving.

Banchory, Aboyne, Ballater, Braemar and Aberdeen are all within easy reach by car and provide an excellent range of restaurants and shops. Days out can be planned around the variety of the many gardens and castles in the surrounding area such as Balmoral Castle, Crathes Castle, Drum Castle, Dunnottar Castle and many more.

Aberdeen, the beautiful 'Granite City', 26 miles away offers much of historical and cultural interest.

Scardroy Alford is a detached bungalow offering wonderful self-catering accommodation, based in the quaint village of Alford. The spacious property is perfect for a family or group looking for a memorable break in Aberdeenshire. We are in a great location for exploring Royal Deeside and Cairngorms.

The spacious bungalow can accommodate 12 people in 7 bedrooms and is nestled on a scenic 5-acre site. The bungalow is beautifully furnished throughout and comes with a range of facilities to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

The bungalow boasts 2 conservatory living rooms to relax and socialise in, including 1 with a bar. They include a BT TV with Sky sports, Wi-Fi, books, games and DVDs. The fully equipped kitchen is great for home-cooking and comes with a range of appliances plus a TV with Freeview. Enjoy a delicious feast in the dining room. A utility room is available.

In total, there are 7 attractive bedrooms, including a glorious master en suite bedroom with a four-poster bed and corner jacuzzi bath. There are 4.5 bathrooms, with towels and hand towels provided.

The Mill of Tilquhillie provides comfortable self-catering holiday accommodation for 4 people in a former water mill which has been carefully restored to ensure that guests have a relaxing and tranquil stay. The holiday cottage also has its own tennis court for guests to use.

A well-appointed holiday cottage that is set over 2 floors, the open-plan design makes this a truly unique place to stay. 

Outside of the holiday cottage is a beautiful garden area, the property is set within the garden of the owner’s house however guests also have their own small enclosed garden to enjoy. There is lots of open water on site so we ask that young children are closely supervised.

There are a number of golf courses and driving ranges within easy driving distance and whisky distilleries just waiting to offer up their secrets as to how one of Scotland’s most popular exports is created. Alternatively why not follow the River Dee upstream to explore Aboyne, Braemar or perhaps visit Balmoral Castle.

Blackthorn, Kincardine O'Neil, Royal Deeside, Aberdeenshire (Sleeps 1-5)


Blackthorn is a luxury holiday chalet is situated in the heart of Royal Deeside, 1/2 mile west from the Potarch Hotel and licensed restaurant.

Blackthorn chalet is a unique architectural design. It has been finished to the highest standard with all furnishing and fittings specially selected to complement this spacious self-catering holiday accommodation.

The Chalet has 1 master bedroom with king-size bed, 1 twin bedroom with two single beds and a single fold-down bed. A hairdryer and all bed linen and towels are provided.

The bathroom is the latest wet room style fitted with an 'all body jet spray' shower and under tile controlled floor heating.

The open plan kitchen has a full cooker c/w fan oven, microwave, dishwasher and a large fridge/freezer.

The main living area has seating for 5 people, solid oak wooden flooring and comes complete with a 32in LCD TV and DVD player. A stair leads from this area up to a gallery room which is perfect for "quiet time", reading or games. There is seating for 3/4 people with carpeted floor, reading lights etc. This area overlooks the main open plan lounge. Above the living area, there are 5 large roof glass panel windows which have electrically operated blinds.

The south-facing glass wall with French doors opens onto a large raised decked area complete with barbecue and seating. This area is ideal for spending an evening overlooking the river as the sun disappears behind Lochnagar.

Entrance to the rear of the building is via a utility room with coat rack, shoe seat and a large cupboard which houses the washing machine, iron and ironing board.

Kincardine O'Neil is 1.5 miles to the west of the chalet and has a Post Office, general store, hairdresser, antique shop, petrol station and coffee shop. The large towns of Banchory and Aboyne lie a further 7 miles to the east and west respectfully.

The Mill of Tilquhillie provides comfortable self catering holiday accommodation for 4 people and is located 2 miles from the centre of Banchory in Aberdeenshire. This wonderful holiday cottage was formally a water mill and it has been carefully restored to ensure that guests have a relaxing and tranquil retreat from which to explore this beautiful part of Scotland. The holiday cottage also has its own tennis court for guests to use.

This well appointed holiday cottage is set over 2 floors and the open plan design makes this a truly unique place to stay. Upstairs there is a well equipped galleried kitchen overlooking the main living area with wood burning stove. The stairs leading down from the door take you into the main living area. This is a light and spacious room that has 2 comfy sofas, WiFi access, Freeview TV and a DVD player. A selection of DVD’s and CD’s are available for you to use during your stay.

Outside the holiday cottage is a beautiful garden area. The property is set within the garden of the owner’s house however guests also have their own small enclosed garden to enjoy. There is lots of open water onsite so we ask that young children are closely supervised.

There are a number of golf courses and driving ranges within easy driving distance and whisky distilleries just waiting to offer their secrets as to how one of Scotland’s most popular exports is created.
