The Well House, Brierley, Stoke Prior, Herefordshire (Sleeps 1-12)


The Well House offers self catering accommodation located in the village of Brierley near Stoke Prior in Herefordshire. The Well House used to be used for storing and drying the hops that were growing in the fields nearby.

The self catering timbered barn has been restored with oak flooring and beautiful exposed beams. The sitting room is one of the rooms that offers beautiful exposed beams and an inglenook fireplace. There are large sofas and winged back chairs for you to relax on. You can watch the TV, read or socialise.

The kitchen/dining area offers everything you will need for a self catering holiday. The dining room table is a lovely oak table that can seat up to twelve people.

The snug is a room for the children. There are games, books, a TV and music in this room.

The self catering accommodation offer six bedrooms accommodation twelve people and three little ones. Bedroom one is the master/family room that has a super king size bed a sofa bed and an en suite with a free-standing bath.

Bedroom two is a twin room with two single beds, these can be linked to create one bed if needed. Bedroom three & four offer a king size bed, room four offers an en suite with a walk-in shower.

Bedroom five & six are located at the other end of the house and both offer two single beds. Room five has a roll away bed for any extra guests.

There is a wet room available.

Outside the self catering accommodation, there is parking for about six cars. At the back of the barn, there is a lawn area and a patio where you can dine if the sun is shining.

The self catering house provides an excellent base for exploring the unspoilt Herefordshire landscape. Occupying a quiet, yet accessible rural location, the wealth of local footpaths wending behind the house deserve exploration.

The barn lies close to the Mortimer Trail and Offa’s Dyke Path, three National Trust properties and numerous award-winning pubs (one with Michelin stars).

Hops are still grown locally – check out the beer from the Wye Valley Brewery! Ludlow a little way north is home to the Slow Food Movement and a lovely medieval town worth a visit.

The market town of Leominster is only 2 miles away. The cathedral city of Hereford, home of the Mappa Mundi is 12 miles distant. The Brecon Beacons and the Elan Valley are all within striking distance.
