Easter Cottage, Shaftesbury, Dorset (Sleeps 1-4)


With private off street parking, Easter Cottage is set in a beautiful private courtyard in the heart of the historic market town of Shaftesbury. The famous Gold Hill is a five-minute level stroll away.

This outstanding property sleeps up to 4 people and comes with a range of excellent facilities. Close attention has been paid to every detail.

A stylish and well-equipped kitchen comes with a variety of appliances. You unwind in the relaxing living room which comes with comfy seating, an electric wood burner to keep you toasty and a dining table. French windows open to a lovely patio area with a table and chairs. A great spot for an afternoon glass of wine whilst the sun is shining. A second patio area with seating is also available.

Two cosy bedrooms are available, one with a king-size bed and one with twin beds. Both share a modern bathroom. Fluffy white towels and white cotton sheets are provided.

Easter Cottage is a fantastic base for exploring a range of excellent attractions in the local area. A pool is only a 2-minute walk from the property and in town, you can wander around tea shops and small independent shops. The town is one of the oldest and highest in England. You can also hike up Gold Hill and visit the Gold Hill Museum. Lots of superb attractions are in the local area including Shaftesbury Abbey & Museum, Longleat Safari Park & House, Lulworth Castle & Park, Hayes Motor Museum & Cerne Abbas Giant.

Clock Cottage, Llanvetherine, Abergavenny, Monmouthshire (Sleeps 1-2)


Clock Cottage provides wonderful self-catering accommodation in Llanvetherine near Abergavenny. Set in 80 acres of grounds in Monmouthshire, it is the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life.

The 18th Century cottage is nestled in the grounds of an old farmhouse but comes with its own privacy. The property is elegantly furnished and sleeps up to 2 adults, ideal for a romantic getaway. The cottage gets its name from a unique 18th Century clock on the adjoining roof.

This ground level cottage comes with retractable doors for wheelchairs but please beware there is one small step. The spacious property has one large double bedroom with a king size bed and floor to ceiling windows which open onto a private garden. The bathroom has a gorgeous roll top bath, separate shower, loo and hand basin.

A well-equipped kitchen/living room has a wood stove to keep you cosy, a TV and floor to ceiling windows which open onto the garden. There are 3 steps up to the lawn/garden which comes with a paved sitting area with a gas BBQ and chairs. A lovely place for al fresco dining.

Guests are welcome to wander around the woodland and ponds. There is also a floodlit tennis court on site which is available for guests.

White Castle is about 5 minutes by car (45 minutes walk) and is one of 3 castles included in the Three Castles Walk. The other two are Skenfrith and Grosmont. A 45 minute walk is the 12th century Hunters Moon Inn. Llanthony Priory is around 30 minutes away which has a 12th Century Cistercian Abbey. A hotel and bar are in the old ruins too. Abergavenny is 5 miles away and has lots of interesting shops to see. A range of great attractions are in the local area, including Hilston Park, Graig Syfyrddin, Ysgyryd Fawr, Sugarloaf Vineyards & the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal.
