Originally part of a Victorian cattle yard, The Lodge has been meticulously converted to a high standard. It features vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, tiled floors, and oak internal doors. The decor and furnishings are in soft, subtle colours, creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere.

Located in peaceful North West Essex, The Lodge is set on a family-run arable farm in the village of Felsted. The cottage is secluded and tranquil, positioned down a private drive at Bannister Green, a mile and a half from the centre of Felsted. The village offers several public houses, shops, and restaurants, providing convenient amenities close by. The Lodge is also well-placed for access to Stansted Airport, Cambridge, Duxford, Saffron Walden, London, and the coasts of Essex and Suffolk, either by car or train from Chelmsford or Braintree.

The Lodge is a self-contained, one-bedroom cottage with a large open-plan lounge and dining room, complete with a log-burning stove. The fully fitted kitchen has all the necessary appliances, and the bathroom includes both a bath and a separate shower. The spacious bedroom features a king-sized double bed, with the option of adding a cot or extra single bed upon request. Outside, guests will find ample parking, a garden, and a courtyard.

All prices are inclusive of VAT, linen, towels, heating (including firewood), and wireless broadband, ensuring a comfortable and hassle-free stay.

The Lodge is in a lovely part of North Yorkshire, at Horton in Craven near Skipton. If you want self catering holiday accommodation and a countryside retreat with modern facilities, then The Lodge at Horton Hall Farm is for you. It has been tastefully decorated in antique pine and has a modern kitchen, ramped access and level access shower.

Accommodation:
The Lodge sleeps 4 in a double and a twin room, with adequate towels and bed linen provided.

There is level access throughout the lodge including the shower and the external access is ramped.

All rooms are fitted with storage heaters and a portable heater is available if needed.

Children of all ages are welcome, however cots and highchairs etc are not provided.

The through lounge and dining area boasts a comfortable sofa and Sky digital TV and a coal-effect electric fire that gives a warm cosy feeling in the evenings.

A pine dining table with candles and six chairs with seat pads gives a comfortable homely feel.

The modern kitchen offers an oven/hobs and a fridge with freezer compartment. There is also a microwave oven, toaster and a washer/dryer. The kitchen is supplied with ample pans, utensils, cutlery, glasses and tureens etc. A smoke alarm is fitted and both a fire extinguisher and fire blanket are on hand.

The double-bedded room has ample storage in the fitted pine wardrobes which have convenient bedside reading lamps and recess your books. The room is also furnished with a pine dressing table and chair. A hairdryer and radio alarm clock are also available.

The twin bedded room has two pine single beds and is further furnished with a pine wardrobe and pine shelves. There are also reading lamps and the walls are decorated with very attractive stencilling and framed pictures.

The shower room/toilet has a level access shower area, plus convenient grab rails and handles. It is equipped with shaver point and heated towel rail. The room is wall tiled throughout with tiled non-slip flooring.

Visiting Hortin-in-Craven & Exploring North Yorkshire:
Surrounded by open fields with many local footpaths and quiet lanes, all brimming with wildlife.

Available for long holidays or short breaks. No additional charges will be accrued during your stay. The lodge is no smoking accommodation and sorry no pets. Tour De France passes the accommodation.

The Lodge is a beautiful self catering lodge set within a 5-acre smallholding at the end of a quiet, no through road in Dallington, near Heathfield. The Lodge is situated in an idyllic setting with no passing traffic and offers panoramic views, miles of scenic walks and an abundance of wildlife right on the doorstep, making this the perfect location for quiet breaks in rural East Sussex.

The Lodge is all on one floor with 1 double bedroom and a spacious living/dining room which has an additional single bed. There is also a shower room with toilet. The kitchen is well-equipped with electric cooker, microwave, washing machine and fridge/freezer. All bed linen and Wi-Fi is included and there is also a TV available as well as a DVD player.

Enjoy the surrounding countryside and woodland views from this holiday lodge on the enclosed decked terrace and lawned garden facing the fields. There is a lot of mistletoe and holly growing around here and it has a Christmas look with deer in the adjoining fields.

The Lodge is in a great location for bird watching, as the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve is located nearby. Buzzards and Sparrowhawks can be seen flying over the house. There are many Christmas fairs and events including a ride in a sleigh with Santa. There is no passing traffic here and there is direct access from the house into lovely Forestry Commission with good clean walking paths and The Lodges is in good walking distance of local food pubs where dogs are welcome. There are many good carol services in local churches as well. Tunbridge Wells is only half an hour away and has many Christmas events. Battle Abbey also stages a Christmas week.

Our smallholding is between Battle & Heathfield at Dallington and is home to an abundance of wildlife. Surrounded by countryside and woodland, The Lodge is the ideal haven for dog walking with miles of picturesque forestry to explore. We have a family of deer which call the smallholding home and can often be seen running through our fields.

The beach is just 13 miles away and there is a shop only 2 miles away and a pub and restaurant within 1 mile. There are many dry clean forestry tracks nearby. At the right time of year, we have bluebells and primroses everywhere.

The picturesque Cinque port town of Rye and the rolling sand dunes at Camber are approximately 30 minutes away. In the other directions along the coast are the South Downs and Beachy Head. There are many craft fairs, agricultural shows and ploughing matches locally, showcasing Sussex wares and produce. The South of England Show and The Kent Show happen nearby. The Wall Garden Music Event is within easy walking distance.
