The Dairy

The Dairy Cottage comfortably accommodates up to four guests, with additional space for a cot if required. It offers a spacious open-plan layout combining the living area, kitchen, and dining space. The cottage features a family bedroom with one double and one single bed, along with a separate single room, making it well suited to families or small groups. A separate shower room and WC add convenience, while built-in wardrobes and three chests of drawers provide ample storage.

The Chicken Coop

The Chicken Coop Cottage is cosy and well designed, ideal for two guests, with additional space for a cot if needed. Just 2 minutes drive or 15 minutes walk through beautiful woodlands, is the bustling fishing village of Tarbert. With shops and restaurants around the harbour and all manner of craft afloat, it makes a picturesque scene to enjoy. There are quite a few craft and souvenir shops that you can browse, some with facilities for afternoon tea.

On the small hill above the village is the substantial ruin of Tarbert Castle with lovely views across the bay to Barfad Farmlands and also across Loch Fyne and Cowal.

During the summer, the "Waverley", the world's last oceangoing paddle steamer visits the pier at Tarbert. Just along the road, a ferry runs to Portavadie on the other side of Loch Fyne. There are other ferries within easy driving in the general area which can take you to the islands for a day trip.

For the energetic, there are numerous walks of varying difficulty. Many commence at the castle in Tarbert which is the beginning of the newly opened Kintyre Way which runs the length of the Kintyre Peninsula – a maximum of 103 miles. Additionally, there are numerous forestry and coastal walks – many also ideal for cycling too

Anchor Cottage:

Anchor Cottage is situated in the grounds of the Villa but is separate and has its own driveway.

The holiday cottage is on one level and has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, there is a study that can be used as a third bedroom so it can accommodate up to six adults. The lounge, dining room and kitchen are open plan with patio doors out to the terrace.


The Villa and Anchor Cottage are great for parties, weddings, meetings or just friends getting together and can be booked together or separately. The minimum rental for both properties is 4 nights during the off peak dates and 7 nights during the peak months.

Glencarrick is a detached Victorian conversion just outside the lively fishing village of Tarbert. The house has been totally refurbished to highlight many of its original features and has views over Loch Fyne.

This tastefully furnished property sleeps up to 6 people. This house comes with a large lounge with TV, stereo and traditional log fireplace. The dining/kitchen comes with an electric cooker, microwave oven and washing machine with tumble dryer. A BBQ is also supplied.

A spacious double and twin room are available. They both share two bathrooms: one with a bath and one with a separate shower unit. All bed linen and electricity are provided.

Tarbert is situated at the top of the Kintyre peninsula. Those who discover it will be well rewarded and can enjoy the scenic beauty and rich historical heritage of this part of the country.
