Upper Heath Farm offers fabulous self catering accommodation in the delightful hamlet of Heath. We offer stable and equestrian facilities, providing weekly and short breaks. The Craven Arms and Ludlow are easily accessible, plus a range of attractions in Shropshire.

Accommodation

We are nestled in a stunning countryside setting and boast amazing views of the Shropshire Hills. Our cottage is the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life. A welcome hamper includes a few essentials (including a homemade cake).

Inside there is a delightful sitting room with come seating, a TV, DVD player, Mini Hi-Fi with radio and Optiflame electric stove for those chilly days. Enjoy some home cooking in the fully-equipped open plan kitchen that includes a range of appliances including an oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine. Enjoy a delicious feast around the dining table.

Upstairs there is a master double room with enjoys glorious country views and a twin room. Both rooms share a bathroom with a shower over bath.

Outside there is a private courtyard with a table, seating and BBQ for al fresco dining whilst admiring the outstanding views. You are also welcome to explore our 16 acres of magnificent grounds.

Visiting Heath & Exploring Shropshire

This part of the country is a haven for outdoor lovers, with lots of scenic walking and cycling routes in the area. The Long Mynd combines open moor with gorgeous valleys, whilst The Stretton Hills are great for more strenuous walks. You can visit the shops and Michelin-starred restaurants in Ludlow or see the famous World Heritage Site of Ironbridge Gore. Great attractions to visit include:

Highgrove Barns, Sibdon Carwood, Craven Arms, Shropshire (Sleeps 1-2)

Highgrove Barns are a pair of self-catering 18th Century barns near Craven Arms. The barns are near Ludlow. The properties in Shropshire are surrounded by the Shropshire Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are the perfect base for a couple who want a relaxing break.

Accommodation:

Our barns each have 1 double bedroom with an en suite shower room. They are south facing and a large parking area and secure garden are available.

The barns have a mellow Welsh slate roof and waney-edged timber. You will find exposed stone walls, and vaulted ceilings with original oak beams. Oak kitchen units, slate floors in the living areas and carpeted bedrooms are in both properties.

The Byre (sleeps 2 + cot + child's bed): The barn has views from the Corvedale nearly to Ironbridge. You can also enjoy views of the Sir Benjamin Flounders folly. This was once owned by the actress Julie Christie and has been recently fully restored.

The Dairy (sleeps 2 + cot): The barn has views over the former farmyard and over Stokesay. You can see from Whitcliffe to the Mortimer Forest.

Visiting Sibdon Carwood & Exploring Shropshire:

A 25-minute stroll towards the Long Mynd brings visitors to Wistanstow. This is famous for The Plough Inn and Wood's brewery. This is home of the prize-winning Shropshire Lad and many other real ales. The 12th Century fortified manor house of Stokesay Castle is close by. Craven Arms is only a mile away and is home to South Shropshire's award-winning Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre and the Land of Lost Content Museum. It also has a supermarket, shops, post office and bank and a mainline railway station on the Manchester - Cardiff route.

Much Wenlock, a scenic country drive away, was recently named by Sunday Times and Savills Estate Agents as one of the best British villages to live in. The Wenlock Olympian Games are still held in July each year.

Our holiday cottage enjoys enviable views of the valley and the rolling Shropshire hills. The fully restored property nestles in 20 acres of woods and wonderful walks on the hillside high above the historic village of Clun.

The cottage boasts some of the most breath-taking rural views to be found in England, being high above the historic village of Clun, set in a pretty woodland wilderness reserve of 20 acres.

The view over the surrounding countryside can be enjoyed from garden chairs taken out into the recently planted orchard beside the Barn. The Barn is but a step away from the main house, Lower Beach. 

The Barn lies only a short distance from the Stiperstones Ridge to the north and west and to the Long Mynd in the east. One stretch of The Shropshire Way, which follows the long avenue of ancient beeches climbing Linley Hill, is a short walk away and can be seen from the garden at Lower Beach.

Acorn Lodge is set in 7 acres of grounds with excellent views across Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Shropshire and Wales, plus the surrounding countryside of the Shropshire Hills. 

Inside you will find an open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area. The lounge has a television with Freeview and DVD player and a comfortable seating area. The kitchen/diner is well equipped with a fridge/freezer, built in oven and hob, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, washer/dryer, iron, ironing board, dining table and chairs.

There are two bedrooms, both with en suite facilities. One comes with a king size bed, bath and shower. The other bedroom has a wet room. 

The decking area outside is a great place to relax with a good book or enjoy a spot of alfresco dining.

There is an abundance of wildlife in the surrounding area and guided walks are available on request. There is a post office and a variety of shops within three miles and there are many good eating facilities nearby. Hope Bagot is situated approximately 6 miles east of Ludlow and 4 miles north of Tenbury Wells.
