The Laurels offers outstanding self-catering accommodation in Bishops Castle. Our magnificent Grade II Listed building is nestled in an idyllic location and is perfect for a magical getaway.

Our fabulous house is brimming with character and comes with everything you need for a relaxing and memorable holiday. The house is tastefully furnished and sleeps 15 people in 6 bedrooms.

On the first floor are two beautiful bedrooms. The twin room has an adjoining bathroom and the family room has a king-size bed and single bed and Sky TV. The second floor has two family rooms with king-size beds, including one with a single bed. A master en suite includes a king bed. On the third floor is a further family room with a king-size bed and single bed. A bathroom comes with a shower and WC.

The delightful market town of Bishop’s Castle is surrounded by stunning countryside, perfect for walkers and cyclists. Wonderful walking routes include the Shropshire Hills, Kerry Ridgeway, Offa’s Dyke and the ‘BC Ring’. In town, there is a lovely mixture of arts, crafts and independent shops, plus a farmers’ market. Two great pubs can be enjoyed, The Six Bells micro-brewery and the Three Tuns, the oldest working brewery in Britain. History fans will love seeing the remains of the old castle at the top of town which was originally built by the Bishop of Hereford.

The Barn at Lower Beach is a lovely self-catering timber-clad barn for two people at Linley, near Bishops Castle in Shropshire. We are nestled in a gorgeous location, offering amazing countryside views over Linley Hill.

The apartment has been beautifully converted to offer quality accommodation, perfect for a romantic getaway.

The view over the surrounding countryside can be enjoyed from garden chairs taken out into the recently planted orchard beside the Barn. The Barn is but a step away from the main house, Lower Beach. 

The Barn lies only a short distance from the Stiperstones Ridge to the north and west and to the Long Mynd in the east. One stretch of The Shropshire Way, which follows the long avenue of ancient beeches climbing Linley Hill, is a short walk away and can be seen from the garden at Lower Beach.

England Shelve Farmhouse offers holiday accommodation in beautiful surrounding countryside, in this most tranquil and attractive part of South Shropshire. The self catering cottage has 4 bedrooms, sleeping up to 8 people.

England Shelve Farmhouse nestles on the hillside, surrounded by farmland in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, close to Bishops Castle, with magnificent views south to the Long Mynd.

The town of Bishop’s Castle is ten minutes away, with a good delicatessen, a butcher and two small supermarkets. There are several interesting cafes, pub and more than one micro brewery,  brewing very popular local beers.

About half an hour away are both the gastronomic centre of Ludlow with its market and castle and the fascinating Coalbrookdale museums at Ironbridge. The county town of Shrewsbury, with all modern facilities including theatre, multiplex cinema and many restaurants, is 20 minutes drive.
