Tehidy Holiday Park is a small, independent park offering charming self catering accommodation, set within a wooded valley just minutes from sandy beaches. Its central location on Cornwall’s north coast makes it an excellent base for exploring the stunning countryside and coastline around Porthtowan and Portreath, as well as the wider region.

Accommodation

The park offers a selection of holiday cottages and caravans, all maintained to a high standard by this family-owned and run business, where quality and cleanliness are a priority. Each accommodation option is fully equipped to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Caravan Holidays
A variety of holiday caravans are available, ranging from 2-bedroom models to top-of-the-range 3-bedroom Platinum caravans, all offered at competitive prices. The caravans are arranged in small groups and surrounded by mixed hedging, rich with wildlife and flowers. Picnic benches and BBQ points are located between the caravans for outdoor dining.

Each caravan includes a comfortable lounge with a coal-effect fire, Freeview TV, and ample seating, as well as a fully equipped kitchen and dining area with a fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, oven, and hob. The bedrooms feature comfortable beds, and the bathrooms are fitted with modern facilities.

Holiday Cottages
There are five self catering cottages available, all finished to a high standard. Each cottage includes a fully equipped kitchen/dining area, a lounge with a TV, a shower room, and comfortable bedrooms, with some offering en suite facilities. Outside, each cottage benefits from a private patio garden, ideal for relaxing and dining outdoors.

Rosemary and Lavender both offer two bedrooms. Lilac and Jasmine also have two bedrooms and are wheelchair friendly. Llinos provides four bedrooms, making it ideal for families or larger groups.

Visiting the Area

Tehidy Holiday Park is perfectly placed for exploring Cornwall, a county renowned for its breathtaking scenery and attractions. Visitors can discover the dramatic landscapes of Bodmin Moor, enjoy sandy beaches stretching from Newquay to Fowey, or explore the picturesque fishing villages of the Lizard Peninsula.

Nearby attractions include Trelissick Gardens, the National Seal Sanctuary, St Michael’s Mount, the Eden Project, and Land’s End. The region is also famous for its abundance of beaches, offering endless opportunities to explore a different stretch of coastline each day.

Rates range from £204 to £1,650 per week depending on the season and accommodation type. The park accommodates up to eight guests, with children welcome. Facilities include disabled access, Wi-Fi/internet access, off-street parking, and an electric vehicle charging point.

Apartments 5 and 13 at Seaspray, located in the picturesque village of Porthtowan, Cornwall, provide an ideal holiday retreat with stunning south-facing views of the Cornish coastline. These apartments are perfectly positioned to offer guests the opportunity to enjoy memorable sunsets and are thoughtfully designed to ensure comfort and convenience during their stay.

Both apartments feature a modern open-plan layout, serving as an excellent base for exploring the natural beauty of Cornwall. Each apartment is equipped with modern amenities, including Wi-Fi, and both kitchens and bathrooms have been recently updated to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

The layout of Apartments 5 and 13 is identical. Upon entering, guests are guided by a hallway that leads past the ground-floor bedroom and bathroom into the combined living area. The kitchen, located to the left upon entering the living space, features a double electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, and dishwasher, ensuring guests have everything they need for a self-catering holiday. The living area is furnished with comfortable sofas, and an LCD TV with Freeview and a DVD player is provided for entertainment. A staircase along the wall leads to the mezzanine bedroom, offering additional sleeping space. The full-glass facade at the front of the apartments opens onto a balcony, offering breathtaking views of the coastline.

It is important to note that Apartment 5 is accessible via level ground, while Apartment 13 requires navigating a few steps. Both apartments have a small 4-inch step for entry and for access to the balcony. The ground floor is finished with stylish floorboards, while the stairs and mezzanine are carpeted for added comfort. Apartment 13 also benefits from a slightly larger balcony, enhancing the outdoor experience.

Porthtowan's Blue Flag beach is one of the UK's top surfing spots, boasting wide stretches of white sand and dunes. The village name, derived from the Cornish words "porth" and "tewynn," meaning "Cove of Sand Dunes," reflects the area’s natural landscape. Porthtowan is a popular summer destination located on Cornwall's north Atlantic coast, with a range of notable attractions nearby. We have a range of lovely holiday cottages and caravans to choose from. All the holidays home are finished to a high standard and come with everything you need for an unforgettable getaway.

Caravan Holidays:

We have a variety of cosy caravans to choose from, offering the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life. From a 1-bedroom caravan to a top-of-the-range 3 bedroom Platinum caravan, we have something for everyone.

All the caravans are arranged in small groups, with each surrounded by mixed headings, brimming with wildlife and flowers. Between the caravans, there are picnic benches with a BBQ point for al fresco dining. All the caravans come with a lounge including a coal effect fire, Freeview TV and comfy seating, plus a fully-equipped kitchen/dining area with fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, oven and hob. The bedrooms come with comfy beds and the bathrooms offer modern facilities.

Holiday Cottages:

You can choose from 5 wonderful cottages whilst staying with us. All the cottages are finished to a high standard and include a fully-equipped kitchen/dining area for home cooking, a lounge with a TV, shower room and comfortable bedrooms. Some bedrooms have en suite facilities. Outside each cottage, there is a private patio garden for al fresco dining in the afternoon sun.

Friesian Valley Cottage offers fantastic self catering accommodation in the rural hamlet of Mawla. It is only 5 minutes from Redruth and just 2 miles from the north Cornwall coast and beaches of Portreath and Porthtowan.

The 5 cottages were originally converted from farm buildings and an old milking parlour. The cottages now offer excellent accommodation and are nestled around a courtyard with lawned areas, ideal for a glass of wine in the afternoon sun.
