Pitmeadow Farm, Dunning, Perth, Perthshire


Pitmeadow Farm is a small, family-run working farm set in peaceful countryside just outside the conservation village of Dunning. Full of character, the farm enjoys a quiet, elevated position on the southern side of Strathearn, offering lovely rural views and a relaxing setting. There are two self-catering properties available: The Steading, which comfortably sleeps up to six guests, and The Studio, which accommodates up to four, making them ideal for families, couples, or small groups seeking a countryside escape.

The Steading

The Steading provides spacious and comfortable accommodation, featuring a large open-plan kitchen with a dining table and seating area. There is also a separate, generously sized living room with three sofas, a TV, and an open fire, creating a cosy space to unwind. Upstairs, there are three large double bedrooms, each with its own ensuite shower and toilet, offering privacy and convenience for guests. Two of the bedrooms can be arranged as either twin or double beds to suit different group requirements, and one room also includes a pull-out single bed if additional sleeping space is needed. The Studio

The Studio has been recently renovated to create a comfortable and welcoming self-catering space, featuring a spacious and attractive kitchen and dining area. The accommodation includes two double bedrooms, both with ensuite facilities, with one room offering the flexibility to be arranged as twin beds if preferred. The property is fully equipped for a relaxing stay and includes games, books, and DVDs for guest use, along with the option of a travel cot available on request.

Onsite Facilities

Guests have access to a shared games room located in the courtyard, equipped with a table tennis table, table football, and a selection of games suitable for all ages. The games room also offers homemade jams, chutneys, and Pitmeadow meat available to purchase. There is ample parking on site, along with access to a spacious garden where guests can relax or enjoy outdoor activities, including a trampoline and football goals. Cloag Farm Cottages are a group of three self-catering holiday homes located just outside the village of Methven, set within the peace and tranquillity of the Perthshire countryside. The cottages enjoy stunning panoramic views across Strathearn and are situated only seven miles from Perth, making them an excellent base for exploring Perthshire and its wealth of castles, historic sites and scenic landscapes. Cloag Farm is a working farm producing oats for porridge, barley for whisky and beer, and some wheat, adding to the authentic rural character of the setting.

About Cloag Farm Cottages

Each cottage comfortably sleeps up to four guests and features one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. The twin bedrooms are furnished with 2ft 6in beds in the West and East cottages and 3ft beds in the Central cottage. All beds are made up ready for arrival, with continental quilts, sheets, pillows and blankets included in the price.

The kitchens are fully equipped for self-catering and include electric cooking facilities, a fridge, microwave and automatic washing machine. All cottages benefit from full oil-fired central heating and hot water. Living rooms feature open fires, with coal always available, as well as a television, DVD player, telephone and free fast fibre Wi-Fi.

The cottages are safely set away from main roads and traffic, offering panoramic southerly views. Each property has ample parking immediately beside it and is surrounded by lawns, with mature woodland providing a scenic backdrop.

Powgavie Farm Cottages offers fabulous self catering accommodation in Inchture, deep in the heart of Carse of Gowrie, Perthshire. We truly are perfect for an idyllic getaway in a glorious part of the country.

Accommodation
Our two charming cottages, Eppie and Flisk, are beautifully furnished and both enjoys amazing view over the Sidlaw Hills and the River Tay.

Each ground level cottage sleeps 6 people and enjoys a similar layout. The cottages adjoin each but have separate entrances and gardens, ensuring plenty of privacy. There is ample parking at each cottage.

Inside there is a delightful open plan kitchen and living area to suit all your needs. There are dining table and chairs, comfortable seating for six, large windows providing spectacular views towards the river Tay and patio doors leading to the garden area.

Facilities include: Digital TV (Freeview), DVD player, fridge, freezer, electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer dryer, iron, oil-fired central heating, parking.

There are three attractive bedrooms in each property: 1 master bedroom with king size bed, en suite bathroom (shower only) and doors leading to a patio area, 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom. An additional bathroom comes with a shower over bath.

A picturesque garden area comes with outdoor furniture and BBQ, great for a glass of wine whilst savouring the stunning views. There is a fantastic area for children to play in. There is a grassy area for children to play in and a garden shed suitable for storing bicycles.

Powgavie Farm Cottages are blessed with an abundance of interests and activities within the immediate area such as golf, skiing, country sports and many more.
