The property offers fantastic access to the county’s range of attractions. It is on the Rutland Water's cycle route, within a few minutes’ walk of Manton village and perfect for walking, cycling and exploring Rutland.

There are many local attractions and activities in the local area. Rutland Water is the largest man-made lake in Western Europe. The attractive 3,100-acre reservoir has an international reputation for providing a balance of sport, leisure and wildlife conservation and offers everyone the opportunity to try something new.

The historic 18th century stone farmhouse lies on the edge of Manton village, overlooking the lovely Chater Valley. It is surrounded by sweeping views and sits in more than 100 acres of privately owned rolling grassland.

We offer two comfortable and high quality self catering apartments in the southern wing of the house, which was completely rebuilt in 1989. Overlooking the Garden and Valley, both are furnished to a high standard and have separate access from the main house.

Manton Lodge makes an ideal base for exploring the county and its attractions. Rutland Water, Europe’s largest man-made expanse of water, and famous for its trout fishing, bird-watching, wildlife nature reserves as well as facilities for sailing and cycling, is within easy walking distance.
