Willowherb and Foxglove Cottage are idyllic self-catering holiday cottages located on a working farm just outside the village of Harwick in Roxburghshire. These charming getaways can accommodate up to six guests and are perfectly situated to offer a tranquil escape. A picturesque stream runs in front of the cottages, and the surrounding landscape features panoramic views of rolling hills and grazing cattle.

Willowherb Cottage combines rustic charm with modern conveniences. The ground floor includes a cosy sitting and dining room with a log stove and TV, along with a well-equipped kitchen and larder featuring an electric cooker, microwave, washing machine, and tumble dryer. There is also a small room with a double bed and a bathroom with a shower, toilet, and underfloor heating. Upstairs, guests will find a spacious double bedroom with a cot available upon request and a smaller bedroom with twin beds. Duvets and blankets are provided, though guests are kindly asked to bring their own sheets and towels. The enclosed garden includes picnic facilities and a barbecue, offering the perfect setting for outdoor relaxation.

Foxglove Cottage provides a light and spacious atmosphere, with a sitting room and a kitchen that opens directly onto the garden, allowing for easy indoor-outdoor living. Upstairs, the bathroom features a shower over the bath, while the small double bedroom overlooks the garden. The master bedroom, with a luxurious king-size bed, boasts views of the hills and grazing livestock. On the ground floor, there is a box room with a sofa bed, ideal for a child or teenager. Guests can step straight into the countryside from the front door or enjoy the peace and beauty of the cottage garden from the patio.

The cottages are located on a 400-acre working farm home to sheep, dogs, cats, geese, and a horse. The cottages are conveniently located just one mile from Hawick, where visitors can explore local shops and restaurants.

The holiday cottages are on a 400-acre farm where there are sheep, cats, dogs and geese and a horse or you might well see red squirrels, rabbits, hares, herons, buzzards and badgers. The cottages are only 1 mile from the centre of Hawick where there are shops and restaurants.

Once you have discovered the magic and diversity of the Scottish Borders, the hosts know you will want to return again, as many of the guests do. Land and sea, hillside and moorlands all sit happily side by side. Rivers and paths wind their way through untouched natural beauty while the gentler pace of life relaxes and revives you.

Colterscleuch House & Cottage are set amidst rural farmland within the Teviot Valley in the Scottish Borders. Hawick town is 10 minutes away and has all the amenities you may need. Both properties are within the same grounds and can be booked together to provide spacious accommodation for up to 16 people. Alternatively, they can be booked separately - the house sleeps up to 10 people and the cottage sleeps up to 6 people. We would love to welcome you at Colterscleuch and hope you enjoy exploring the area and all it has to offer.

Colterscleuch House is a renovated Victorian farmhouse, providing modern comforts while retaining many period features. There are five bedrooms which consist of three doubles, one twin and one with a set of bunk beds. Three of the bedrooms are en suite and two of these can easily be shared as access is via a vestibule at the bedroom entrances. There is also a shower room on the ground floor. All the bedrooms are on the first floor. All bed linen and towels are supplied.

Colterscleuch Cottage is a converted farm building, with spacious rooms, double glazing and central heating. The two large bedrooms each sleep three people. One room has a double bed and a single bed, the other room has three single beds. There is a family size bathroom with a large bath and separate shower enclosure. The living area is bright and has patio doors leading to a private garden. There is Freeview TV and a DVD player, with a selection of DVDs and books. The dining/kitchen area is a great space for cooking and enjoying meals together. It has an electric cooker with fan oven and grill, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher.

Colterscleuch is 8 miles south of Hawick and provides easy access to Edinburgh and Carlisle via the A7 road as well as all the delightful towns and villages in the Borders. 
Hawick is the largest town in the Scottish Borders. It is famous for quality knitwear and has many knitwear and cashmere shops as well as tours of the mills where they are made. There is a great choice of attractions for the whole family such as Wilton Lodge Park, Hawick Museum and Borders Textile Towerhouse. There is a leisure centre with a swimming pool, a cinema and great places to eat out and sample wonderful local produce.

The Scottish Borders provides the perfect balance between relaxation and action. There is world-class off road biking, fishing, golf, beautiful peaceful walks and fantastic local food and brews to relax over.
