Lyde Hill Holidays, Woodville, Stour Provost, Dorset


Lyde Hill Holidays offers superb accommodation on a former dairy farm near Stour Provost in North Dorset. The site is home to a variety of friendly farm animals, including pygmy goats, lambs, sheep and chickens. In the surrounding farmland, guests may also spot wild deer, rabbits and an abundance of birdlife and other wildlife.

The Pods

There are five luxury pods on site, each enjoying stunning views of Duncliffe Wood. Built from cedar wood, the pods are fully heated and thoughtfully designed for comfort. Each one features a double bed, an en-suite shower room, a compact yet functional kitchen, and a small sofa bed suitable for two young children.

Outside, each pod has its own private space complete with a BBQ, table and chairs, perfect for relaxing and dining outdoors. Towels and bedding for the double bed are provided. A minimum stay of 2 nights applies.

The Area

Lyde Hill Holidays is ideally located in the heart of the North Dorset countryside, offering plenty to see and do nearby. Duncliffe Wood, an ancient woodland, is just a short walk away and is perfect for exploring or enjoying a peaceful stroll.

The nearby towns of Gillingham and Shaftesbury are only a ten-minute drive away and offer a wide selection of shops, cafés and restaurants.

The Slap is a tastefully restored 19th century croft house offering self-catering holiday accommodation on a working croft at Ruemuera on the southern Orkney island of Burray. The holiday home is surrounded by acres of croft land and enjoys beautiful views across Scapa Flow, the Churchill Barriers and the island of Copinsay. It provides a welcoming setting for families, with children invited to see the animals and collect eggs in the morning.

About The Slap

The cottage has been carefully decorated and furnished throughout to provide guests with a comfortable home-from-home experience. Original Orkney flagstone floors with underfloor heating add character and warmth, while the cottage also includes a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom and a double bedroom.

The living area features a small double sofa bed, allowing the property to accommodate up to four guests in total.
