Farwood Barton Holiday Cottages, Northleigh, Colyton, Devon (Sleeps 1-8)

Farwood Barton Holiday Cottages are three barn conversions in an old Victorian courtyard, boasting stunning views of the surrounding Devonshire countryside. Our holiday homes are located on a farm in the peaceful Coly Valley, just a short walk to the centre of Northleigh, a pretty village near Colyton.

All of our cottages are spacious and have underfloor heating. Guests have access to a shared tennis court and outside games barn.

The Wheel House is a thoughtfully converted one-level cottage with views to open farmland from every room. Sleeping up to 8 people plus a cot, the holiday cottage has three bedrooms. Two guests can snuggle on a sofa bed in a curtained off area of the spacious lounge. There are just a few steps into the large lawned/patio area which joins the tennis court. It has its own barbecue and garden furniture. 

The Leat House sleeps up to 4 plus a cot and includes a king-size bedroom and a super king/twin room, both of which are en suite. All of the rooms feature vaulted ceilings with original beams and brick features giving them a historic look with modern features. 

Set in a large Victorian Court Yard, The Apple Loft has been recently converted from the farm's Old Apple Loft and Cellar, where apples were once milled and pressed for cider. Built as an upside-down house to take advantage of the beautiful, panoramic views of the Coly Valley. The holiday cottage includes a king-size bedroom & a comfortable sofa bed to sleep 4 people plus a cot. 

We have excellent facilities onsite, including a tennis court and games barn. Inside the barn there is a large range of games, entertainments, table football, table tennis, snooker/billiards, darts and even a skittle alley.

The holiday barns are only 4 miles from the coast, with south facing with panoramic views of the unspoilt East Devon countryside. We are an ideal retreat for walkers, couples, families and groups who want to enjoy a quiet break away, with the option of holidaying together while still having your own private space. There are many wonderful walks that start straight from the farm and the nearby Blackdown Hills are a great place to explore for those who enjoy a good hike through the countryside.

Leigh Cottages offers wonderful self catering accommodation in Weston near Sidmouth. The 4 cottages in Devon make the perfect holiday cottage for you, your family & friends and even your dog can come too!

The cottages are 150 yards from a National Trust valley leading to Weston Beach and the Coastal Path and it is a wonderful location for exploring the coast and countryside.

The coastline is listed as a natural World Heritage Site known as the “Jurassic Coast”. Leigh Cottages is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is a lovely peaceful location in beautiful countryside with convenient access to many local town and villages and the beaches of Sidmouth, Beer, Lyme Regis, Budleigh Salterton and Exmouth. The popular Donkey Sanctuary is close-by and there are level walks around its fields – the closest access being just 20 yards from our entrance.

Lower Southbrook Farm consists of three beautiful holiday cottages, situated on the outskirts of the village of Whimple. They are an ideal place for visiting many of the popular tourist attractions on the East and South coasts of Devon, as well as Dartmoor and Exmoor, yet situated in a rural position within the stunning and idyllic East Devon countryside.

We have three comfortable single storey cottages which are adjacent to our owner occupied farmhouse. All cottages are self contained, fully furnished and centrally heated throughout the year. Ample car parking is available adjacent to the cottages.

Lower Southbrook Farm Holiday Cottages are conveniently situated for access to the A30 and M5, making us an ideal base for visiting many of the following tourist attractions. The historic city of Exeter offers the rich heritage of an ancient Cathedral City. East Devon offers picturesque villages with typical country inns; historic towns with traditional markets and many interesting places to visit.

Hedge End Farm offers self catering accommodation just outside of Colyton. Our holiday home is deep within a wooded valley and has glorious views of the East Devon countryside. This quiet, peaceful setting is perfect for exploring Lyme Bay & the Jurassic Coast. 

The farmhouse is on two floors. The ground floor includes: 
Lounge – This room has plenty of seating which surrounds a large open fireplace. Facilities include Freeview TV, DVD, video and patio doors to terrace and garden. 
Kitchen – Our farmhouse kitchen has been decorated and furnished to a high standard. There is a dining table seating 10, electric range double cooker with 6 zone ceramic hob, larder fridge, microwave, dishwasher, island unit and CD/radio. 
Utility room – Here you will find a washing machine, drying space, freezer, additional fridge and additional electric cooker.
Games room – An ideal place for all the family to relax. This room has a pool table. 
Conservatory – This room has cane furniture and patio doors to terrace and garden. 

Our holiday home is about a mile outside the small, historic town of Colyton. The town has shops, pubs and restaurants and around 2 miles from the seaside town of Seaton. The house is ideally located as a base for exploring the stunning Jurassic Coast and surrounding countryside. We are a good value choice for larger parties looking for a comfortable, quiet country retreat close to the coast.
