Ewe Time Holiday Barn is a stunningly restored stone barn located in the heart of Kelbrook, nestled on the striking border of Yorkshire and Lancashire. Surrounded by sweeping moorland yet set within a tranquil village, the property masterfully combines rustic charm with modern comfort. Designed to host memorable gatherings of family and friends, the barn accommodates up to twenty guests, with space for four additional visitors by prior arrangement. Generous living areas, a wood-fired hot tub, and a cosy log burner make it an equally enchanting choice for summer celebrations or snug winter getaways.

Characterful Accommodation

Guests are welcomed through an oak-framed entrance into a vast, open-plan living hall, where original beams rise above warm flagstone floors. One end of this inviting space features plush sofas encircling a large wood-burning stove, creating the perfect spot for relaxing fireside conversations after a day exploring the hills. At the opposite end, a full-size pool table offers entertainment for all ages. French doors open directly onto a private patio and secure garden, with the wood-fired hot tub inviting starlit soaks under expansive northern skies.

The adjoining kitchen is designed for large-scale self-catering, equipped with a range cooker, American-style fridge-freezer, two dishwashers, and generous prep areas. Dining is a sociable affair around a twelve-seat farmhouse table alongside an eight-seat refectory table, allowing all guests to dine together in comfort.

Our holiday cottages have been converted from traditional barns to create three self-catering cottages which are full of charm and character. They are situated half a mile from the cliff tops of Bolberry Down and one mile from the picturesque village of Hope Cove and its pet-friendly beaches.

All the holiday cottage cottages have a Freeview TV with DVD player, microwave, fridge, freezer, gas oven, washer/dryer. There are also double glazed and have gas central heating as well as an open coal effect gas fire. Linen and towels are provided and electricity and gas included. Cots, highchairs, bed guards and stair gates are provided free of charge.

The holiday cottages all have their own garden with a sunny patio. Well behaved pets are welcome at no extra cost.

For keen walkers, the cottages are less than half a mile from the South West Coastal Path where you can enjoy spectacular views and appreciate the variety of wildflowers and birds.

Farwood Barton Holiday Cottages, Northleigh, Colyton, Devon (Sleeps 1-8)

Farwood Barton Holiday Cottages are three barn conversions in an old Victorian courtyard, boasting stunning views of the surrounding Devonshire countryside. Our holiday homes are located on a farm in the peaceful Coly Valley, just a short walk to the centre of Northleigh, a pretty village near Colyton.

All of our cottages are spacious and have underfloor heating. Guests have access to a shared tennis court and outside games barn.

The Wheel House is a thoughtfully converted one-level cottage with views to open farmland from every room. Sleeping up to 8 people plus a cot, the holiday cottage has three bedrooms. Two guests can snuggle on a sofa bed in a curtained off area of the spacious lounge. There are just a few steps into the large lawned/patio area which joins the tennis court. It has its own barbecue and garden furniture. 

The Leat House sleeps up to 4 plus a cot and includes a king-size bedroom and a super king/twin room, both of which are en suite. All of the rooms feature vaulted ceilings with original beams and brick features giving them a historic look with modern features. 

Set in a large Victorian Court Yard, The Apple Loft has been recently converted from the farm's Old Apple Loft and Cellar, where apples were once milled and pressed for cider. Built as an upside-down house to take advantage of the beautiful, panoramic views of the Coly Valley. The holiday cottage includes a king-size bedroom & a comfortable sofa bed to sleep 4 people plus a cot. 

We have excellent facilities onsite, including a tennis court and games barn. Inside the barn there is a large range of games, entertainments, table football, table tennis, snooker/billiards, darts and even a skittle alley.

The holiday barns are only 4 miles from the coast, with south facing with panoramic views of the unspoilt East Devon countryside. We are an ideal retreat for walkers, couples, families and groups who want to enjoy a quiet break away, with the option of holidaying together while still having your own private space. There are many wonderful walks that start straight from the farm and the nearby Blackdown Hills are a great place to explore for those who enjoy a good hike through the countryside.

Tom & Douglas' Barns, Parwich, Ashbourne, Derbyshire (Sleeps 1-2)

Tom's & Douglas' Barns are situated in Parwich, Derbyshire. Both of the holiday cottages are ideal for a romantic break in the beautiful Peak Park countryside.

Tom’s Barn is our dog-friendly self-catering holiday accommodation for two. We kept as much of the original structure as we could & furnished it with a blend of antique and modern. The galleried bedroom is airy, light and warm. Over the luxury bed are two sky lights - with blackout blinds for when you don't want to stargaze. The en suite bathroom has a very special bath, sometimes irreverently called the love tub, which is deeper and cosier than most. The sitting room with a big gable window is open to the rafters & the kitchen is extremely well equipped.

Outside there is a table and a couple of chairs, an ideal spot for enjoying a quiet drink in the evening sun after a long walk in the surrounding countryside. You also have your own garden area, behind a living willow hedge, with a brand new Pepe table and two chairs, plus a Weber charcoal barbecue for your own use.

Douglas’s Barn is in a wonderful south-facing sun trap. You will find a tea tray to welcome you when you arrive, with freshly baked homemade cake or biscuits. The sitting room has a 'burning pebbles' electric fire set into the wall, a flat-screen TV & a bookcase with masses of local information, maps, games and novels. The kitchen is impressively equipped, and the peaceful bedroom is found up the spiral stairs. The en suite bathroom is beautifully warm with a heated towel rail to ensure you can step right out of the bath and into a wonderfully warm and dry fluffy towel. The whirlpool bath with power shower above is fairly spacious if you feel like sharing the bathwater!
