Kerroobeg is an original Manx cottage that has recently been extended and refurbished to a very high standard. Set in a remote and tranquil location on the slopes of South Barrule near Cringle Plantation, it offers spectacular views down to Castletown and the southern coastline.

This charming countryside retreat accommodates up to four guests across two beautifully appointed bedrooms. The property features a luxurious bathroom with separate shower and bath, a cosy living and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a stunning oak-framed sunroom overlooking the surrounding landscape.

Inside the Cottage

The sunroom is an oak-framed haven, facing south and west with large windows, comfortable sofas, coffee tables, and soft lighting—perfect for relaxing and taking in the views.

The living/dining area includes an original Manx dresser, plush seating, Smart TV with Freesat and DVD player, and a dining table for six.

The bedrooms feature thick carpets, top-quality beds, and ample storage, all dressed in Egyptian cotton bedding. One room includes a king-size bed, while the other offers zip-and-link beds adaptable to a super king.

The bathroom is fully tiled with separate bath and shower, underfloor heating, quality toiletries, and fluffy towels.

The kitchen is spacious and well-appointed with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge, freezer, microwave, and generous worktop space.

There is also a large hallway with cloakroom and plenty of hanging space.

Bayview Cottage – Sleeps 4:

Our beautifully refurbished cottage is great for a relaxing getaway. The ground-level cottage offers disabled access, including removable ramps in the corridor and an accessible shower room. Inside this cosy cottage, there is a living room with comfy seating and a TV, plus a fully equipped kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, and dishwasher. The bedrooms include a TV. Outside there is a sheltered garden area with a BBQ for al fresco dining whilst savouring the setting.

Thurdistoft Farmhouse – Sleeps 9:

This gorgeous old farmhouse enjoys glorious sea views and is great for a family or group looking for somewhere special to stay. Rustle up some delicious dishes in the fully-equipped kitchen that includes an electric oven and induction hobs, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, washing machine and dishwasher. After a day on the beach relax in the living room and have fun in the games room. In total, there are 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. Outside there are 2 gardens, including an enclosed back garden which is perfect for children.

This charming cottage is ideal for a magical retreat by the sea. Downstairs there is a dining area and a well-equipped kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Downstairs there is also a bedroom. There are 2 en suite bedrooms and a lovely sitting room with a TV and a wood burner for the winter months. Outside there is a grass-drying green and a sheltered garden area which is shared with the adjacent properties and includes BBQs, firepits and seating.

Our fabulous cottage is great for a group or family holiday by the coast. In total there are 2 attractive en suite bedrooms. On the first floor, there is a sitting room with a TV and a toasty wood burner. Downstairs there is a fully-equipped kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher for home cooking. Outside there is a grass-drying green and a sheltered garden area which is shared with the adjacent properties and includes BBQs, firepits and seating.

Visiting Castletown & Exploring Caithness:

While staying with us you can visit the nearby town of Thurso, home to charming shops, bars, cafes and excellent restaurants. You can also visit the circular wellhouse of Meadow Well or visit Janet Street which offers fabulous views over the River Thurso. Wonderful artwork can be enjoyed at the Swanson Gallery and Caithness Horizons has a fascinating museum.

Both bedrooms have thick carpets with superb quality beds and Egyptian cotton bed linen. There is a wardrobe, a chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. Bedroom one has a king-size bed. Bedroom 2 has twin zip and link beds which can be made into a super king if requested.

The Bathroom:

This is fully tiled, with a bath, separate shower, underfloor heating, good quality toiletries and fluffy towels.

The Kitchen:

The large kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven with induction hob, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge, freezer, microwave and all equipment and worktop space necessary for cooking.

Ballagreyney Holiday Cottages consists of two-holiday cottages situated on a former farm in several acres of garden at Colby, near Castletown on the Isle of Man.

Rose Cottage - Sleeps 4
Rose Cottage is a two-bedroom, two-storey cottage with roomy accommodation for four people. The comfortable sitting room is furnished to a high standard with double seater sofa and chairs and has a wood-burning stove. There is a TV with Sky and a DVD player, CD player and radio.

The kitchen/diner incorporates built-in electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave oven. Both bedrooms have stunning views and vaulted pine ceilings. The master bedroom has French doors leading on to a wrought-iron balcony so that you can enjoy the sunrise and has a king-size double bed. The second bedroom has two 3ft single beds. The large family bathroom has a large shower and separate corner bath, WC, basin and electric shaving point, bench and storage. A plentiful supply of fresh linen, towels, kitchenware, crockery, cutlery, all of a modern and high standard. Ironing facilities provided. Utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and shower room/WC. There is a sun terrace immediately in front of the cottage with garden furniture and BBQ equipment provided.

Honeysuckle Cottage - Sleeps 4
This is a two-bedroom, two-storey cottage with roomy accommodation for four persons. The cottage has all modern amenities including central heating and a constant supply of hot water. The spacious sitting room is furnished to a high standard with two sofas, chair and coffee table. It has a stunning traditional Manx Cholagh fireplace with wood burning stove and a ship's timber across the mantle known to be at least 300 years old. There is a flat-screen TV with Sky and a DVD player, CD and radio.

The kitchen/diner incorporates modern living with quaint traditional features and includes built-in Neff electric oven, hob & extractor, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave oven and coffee machine, and a dining table which seats 4. The master bedroom has a king-size double bed. It leads into a modern en suite bathroom with bath and overhead shower, WC, basin, heated mirror incorporating electric shaving point and storage. The twin bedroom has two 3ft single beds. It leads into a modern en suite shower room with large modern shower, WC, basin and heated mirror incorporating electric shaving point. There is a sun terrace and lawn immediately in front and to the side of the cottage with garden furniture and BBQ equipment provided. Ample parking near the cottage reached by a short footpath. Separate utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer etc.

There is an area created especially for recreational use, such as tennis, croquet and sports equipment is provided free of charge. In addition children and adults alike will enjoy the thrill of the zip wire.

The cottages are situated about 3 miles from Castletown and about 5 miles from Port St Mary and Port Erin. The village of Colby which is only a five minute car drive away has a village shop and pub.
