Hollyhocks Cottage, Brancaster, Docking, Norfolk (Sleeps 1-4)


Hollyhocks Cottage is a former railwayman’s cottage built from red Norfolk Carrstone bricks and only 4 miles from the Norfolk coast. Hollyhocks has been sympathetically and lovingly renovated to include a wealth of modern creature comforts while retaining all of its original character.

About Hollyhocks:
Sleeping 4 in one double and one twin room, Hollyhocks is perfect for couples or families looking for home from home in a high-quality self-catering holiday cottage.

Downstairs you’ll find an open plan lounge/diner, separated by a half-height partition with aspect towards the newly refurbished kitchen. Appliances include a washing machine, electric induction hob, fan-assisted oven/grill, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer

Upstairs, there are 2 double bedrooms (one with an oak double bed and the second with 2 pine single beds, ideal for children or other guests) and a newly fitted bathroom featuring a modern bath with rainfall shower over and vanity sink unit.

Bed linen is provided. Towels can be provided at a modest extra cost.

There is oil-fired central heating through panel radiators and double-glazing throughout (so the cottage is as cosy throughout the winter as it is during the summer months).

Outside there is a pretty courtyard garden, featuring hollyhocks as well as other colourful plants depending on the season, alongside a paved patio and shingle driveway. There is also a secluded suntrap facing southwest complete with cast iron bistro table and chairs and a wooden bench.

Docking is the centre point branching in all directions to the resorts and beauty spots of North Norfolk, You are spoilt for choice where to go. If you enjoy beautiful North Norfolk Beaches, you can choose Hunstanton, Brancaster, Thornham, Holme, Burnham Overy Staithe, Holkham Beach, Wells and carry on as far as Blakeney and Cley to the south. The local beach of Brancaster is just 4 miles away or 5 minutes by car, 20 minutes by bike.
