The Lodges at Faraway Follies offer a unique and peaceful retreat in the heart of North Wales, with each lodge thoughtfully designed to provide both comfort and sophistication. Each lodge is equipped with its own private hot tub, offering guests the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a relaxing getaway. Nestled on the edge of a Grouse Moor, the lodges are ideally located for exploring the stunning landscapes of Denbighshire and Wrexham.

Owl Lodge sleeps up to four guests and features a cosy double bedroom along with a living area that includes a pull-out sofa, which converts into a king-size bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with an under-counter larder fridge, full-size induction hob, kettle, toaster, and a combination microwave/oven/grill, ensuring guests have all they need for self-catering. Outdoors, a Weber Kettle barbecue is available for those who enjoy outdoor cooking.

The Dog House is a snug option, perfect for two guests, with a comfortable double bedroom. The kitchen includes a gas hob, kettle, toaster, microwave, and a mini oven, providing everything needed for a simple and relaxing stay.

For larger groups, Copse Camp offers a truly unique experience. Sleeping up to six people, it features a mezzanine treehouse with a double bed and two additional z-beds below. The Wee Wagon and Green Bow Top Gypsy Wagon each offer additional double beds, making this an ideal retreat for a family or group of friends. The outdoor kitchen is equipped with a twin gas burner and gas fridge, while the fire pit comes with cast iron pans, griddles, and a Dutch oven, perfect for open-fire cooking and outdoor dining.

All lodges come with a wood-burning stove, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for cosy evenings in. Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, and milk are provided to get guests started, and the lodges feature shower rooms with constant hot water. Each guest is supplied with one bath towel and one hand towel, along with handmade soap to take home. Beds are made with luxurious Egyptian cotton linen, ensuring a comfortable night’s sleep.

The dining area provides a comfortable space to enjoy meals. Coxwood Farm Holiday Cottages offers wonderful self catering accommodation in Rossett, nestled in 31 acres of gorgeous farmland. We are close to Chester and perfect for a tranquil rural retreat.

Accommodation

Our 3 cottages are beautifully furnished and offer a home-from-home feel. The cottages enjoy glorious views over the countryside and are well-equipped to suit all your needs. All the cottages include a well-equipped kitchen with an electric cooker including a double oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher. The lounges all come with a smart TV. All the cottages have use of a children's play area with an outdoor trampoline, swing, slide and climbing frame etc. There’s also a games room with table tennis, table football and a pool table. Bike storage is also available.

Hen Cottage – Sleeps 6

Our Hen cottage comfortably sleeps 6 guests and has a lovely open plan ground floor with a lounge come diner that can be opened out even further to a personal patio area via large French doors. The kitchen is adjacent to the dining room and has all the necessary appliances to help you cook up a feast for friends and family. Upstairs the rooms are nicely spaced apart with a large bright double room and en-suite bathroom, followed by a room with bunk beds next to a second bathroom and at the end of the landing a private but spacious twin bed room. The Dairy – Sleeps 6/8

The largest of our cottages the Dairy sleeps up to 8 guests and is a large spacious cottage allowing you to feel at home. A big kitchen space is bright and large enough to accommodate plenty of hungry friends and family around a large solid oak table. The large lounge area is well equipped with comfortable sofas (inc. a sofa bed) and a large smart TV. Up stairs you will find a double bedroom with en-suite and two twin rooms with a modern bathroom. Pets allowed at owners discretion – please contact upon booking. Change over day is Saturday. As with all our cottages we have tried to make this cottage a home from home.

The Barn – Sleeps 4/6

The smallest of our three cottages but don't be fooled as the Barn is able to sleep up to 6 and offers everything you need for a holiday with friends and family. The kitchen is a spacious area with a large dining table perfect for getting around to socialise. The lounge area is positioned so that it can also act as a large individual space of its own with plenty of comfortable seating and a smart TV. Upstairs offers two bedrooms and a bathroom, the double bedroom is light and bright and the second bedroom has two twin beds offering a great night’s sleep. Pets allowed at owners discretion – please contact upon booking. Change over day for week long stays is Friday. Visiting Rossett & Exploring Chester and Wrexham

Coxwood Farm is ideally placed in North East Wales as a base for all manner of pastimes. Chester and Wrexham are only 7 miles away and our good motorway connections mean Liverpool and Manchester can be reached in less than an hour. In Chester, you can visit Chester Zoo, Cheshire Oaks Outlet Village & head into the bustling city centre. The Wirral, Dee Estuary and Ceiriog Valley are just a short drive away. You can also drive to Anglesey or the peaks of Snowdonia in little over an hour. Great attractions to visit include:

Erddig.

LLety'r Dderwen offers superb self-catering accommodation on a working farm just outside of Ruabon. Our North Wales holiday cottage near Wrexham is comfortably furnished for 4 people and comes with a range of facilities to suit all your needs.

The cottage comes with a delightful open plan kitchen/diner with a brick wall, limestone flooring, oak furniture, leather sofas and TV. A great place to relax after a day of sightseeing. Doors open onto a patio area and lawned garden. The ground floor also has a wet room with a shower, toilet and washbasin.

Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms: a double and a twin, with both including wonderful rustic furniture. A third room comes with a futon. The main bathroom has a bath and WC.

Outside there is a patio with garden furniture for al fresco dining over a few glasses of wine.

There are plenty of exciting activities to enjoy during your stay. Guests can even bring their own horse as all facilities are provided. We are ideally situated just 7 miles from Wrexham town centre and 2 miles from the A483, Oswestry to Wrexham road. We are about 5 miles from the beautiful Welsh town of Llangollen. Llandudno and Rhyl are just 40 miles away, allowing you to visit the beach within 1 hour.

Our accommodation briefly consists of a kitchen diner with limestone and oak flooring, a utility room and with all laundry requirements, a lounge featuring oak furniture and leather suites and 3 bedrooms.

The double bedroom is furnished with rustic pine furniture and has oak flooring. The twin bedroom is furnished in cream, with rustic furniture and oak flooring. The third bedroom has a futon that can be used for simply sitting and relaxing, or for sleeping comfortably.

There are plenty of exciting activities to enjoy during your stay. Guests can even bring their own horse as all facilities are provided.
