The charming cottage sleeps 5 people plus a cot in 3 rooms. Upstairs there is a double bedroom and a twin room. Downstairs there is a single room that also has the telephone in.

There are some beautiful walks from your doorstep and there are lovely open grounds. Parking is available 100 yards from the cottage. West Milton, a rural village away from main roads, is situated about 4 miles from Bridport, 5 miles from West Bay, Bridport’s harbour and 5 miles from Beaminster. Bridport was the centre of the rope making and net making industries and a ‘Bridport dagger’ was a hangman’s noose!

The main streets of Bridport, East Street, West Street and South Street are exceptionally wide to accommodate the rope walks and the twice-weekly markets with their stalls are sited there. West Bay with its harbour and dramatic cliffs, was the setting for ‘Broadchurch’; there is a good selection of places to eat, from kiosks along the harbour to pubs and restaurants and the piers to walk along. Fishing trips and boat tours of Lyme Bay can be booked.

Lancombes House Cottages offer self catering accommodation just outside of the village of West Milton, near Bridport in Dorset. The self catering holiday cottages are all part of a two hundred year old converted barn and farm buildings, arranged around a courtyard. Whether you are looking for a quiet getaway on your own, or with a big group, you will find accommodation to suit.

Buckingham offers single storey accommodation for up to 4 guests. A wheelchair ramp is available for access. There is a spacious open plan living/dining area with a fireplace and wood burning stove, a fully equipped fitted kitchen, one large double bedroom & one twin bedroom.

The Farmhouse can sleep up to 12 guests & comprises of six bedrooms, three bathrooms (two en suite), a beautiful large, wood kitchen with a range style cooker, open plan dining area and a large lounge. The Farmhouse has its own BBQ area, with gas BBQ and seating overlooking the valley down to the Jurassic Coast.

Tanglewood can also sleep up to 12, in four double bedrooms, one twin & two single bedrooms. Facilities include three bathrooms, a beautiful dining room with a flagstone floor, and a lounge with exposed beams & comfortable seating.

Located onsite is a games room with a pool table, CD player, outdoor games equipment, board games, comfortable seating and a range of books.

West Milton is a lovely place to stay when exploring Dorset. There are many things to do in the local area including walking, fishing, golf and much more. Many guests enjoy visiting West Bay where there are beautiful golden beaches.
