Steading Holiday Cottages are a varied collection of self-catering holiday homes on the north, south and west coast of Scotland. All the properties are based on the West Coast of Scotland on the Ardnamurchan peninsula, the most westerly point on the mainland.

All our properties are in a stunning setting, offering spectacular views, peace, and relaxation. From a romantic break to a traditional family holiday, we have an array of properties available. Each property comes with a well-equipped kitchen, comfy bedrooms, a relaxing living area and quality bathrooms.

Relax in Ardnamurchan's unspoilt wilderness; home to one of the most diverse mixes of wildlife that you can find anywhere in Scotland. On your doorstep, you will have the “Big Five” red deer roaming free, otters, golden eagles, red squirrels and seals. In addition, don’t forget to look seaward where you can spot whales, dolphins and basking sharks.

Children can build sandcastles, scramble around the rock pools or fly kites. For the more energetic there are marked circular walks up and over the surrounding hills.

Argyll has stunning landscapes and is home to 23 inhabited islands. It has many attractions including Loch Lomond & Trossachs, Fingal’s Cave, Staffa & Iona Abbey.

Steading holidays is a small, family-run business run from our home, The Steading, in the small crofting community of Kilchoan. Having lived here since 1980 we are still amazed and inspired by the beauty of Ardnamurchan and have a wealth of local knowledge which we love to share. Steading holidays was started in 1978 by my mother, Pamela Campbell. 

All of Steading’s cottages to rent in Scotland have stunning coastal views from the most westerly point of the British coast. For a coastal cottage, close to amazing golden sandy beaches that could be mistaken for foreign climes, yet within easy reach of dramatic mountain heights, Steading holidays have a wonderful selection of West coast Scotland cottages to rent for keen wildlife, bird or walking enthusiasts, as well as those in need of a quiet, relaxing break away.

Properties on the North and West coast of Ardnamurchan have views of the spectacular Western Isles and Outer Hebrides, whilst the South coast looks across the water to the Isle of Mull.
