Ship Farm Holiday Cottages comprise two beautifully converted barn properties located on a working farm in the charming village of Rhossili, within Glamorgan’s Gower Peninsula. Perfectly positioned within walking distance of three stunning beaches — including Rhossili Bay, which has been voted the best beach in the UK — these cottages provide an ideal setting for a peaceful getaway surrounded by breathtaking coastal scenery.

Fferm Llong Cottage

Formerly a local inn, Fferm Llong Cottage has been lovingly converted to offer spacious, comfortable accommodation for up to five guests, with the option of a sixth using a fold-away bed.

The cottage features two bedrooms — one double and one triple with bunk beds and a single bed — making it ideal for families or small groups. The open-plan kitchen, dining area, and lounge create a warm and sociable living space. The fully equipped kitchen includes a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, electric fan oven, kettle, toaster, and coffee machine. The dining area features a wooden table and chairs set on natural stone flooring, while the lounge offers a cosy environment with comfortable seating, exposed beams, a TV, DVD player, and an electric log-effect fire, all enhanced by oil-fired central heating.

Both bedrooms include built-in wardrobes and drawers, with all bed linen provided. The spacious bathroom features a bath, separate shower cubicle, basin, toilet, and electric shaver point, with towels supplied for use within the cottage.

The Old School

The Old School is a charming two-level cottage that sleeps 2 to 3 people, offering a blend of comfort and character. East Pilton Farm Cottage offers superb self catering accommodation in Rhossili, based on the gorgeous Gower peninsula. This is the ideal base for a walking holiday, just a short stroll from the Gower Coast Path. You can visit the famous city of Swansea and see a range of excellent attractions further afield.

This wonderful cottage sleeps up to 8 people and is great for a family or group looking for a relaxing and tranquil holiday retreat. The cottage is tastefully furnished and still maintains many original features, including gorgeous exposed beams. The luxurious underfloor heating will keep you warm in the winter months.

The fabulous open plan living space is great for socialising in after a day on the beach. The fully-equipped kitchen is great for cooking up some delicious meals and includes a dishwasher, washer/drier, fridge/freezer, oven, gas hob and microwave. A dining area seats 8 and you can unwind in the cosy lounge which has two large leather settees, a 42” television with Sky+, a PS3 console and free Wi-Fi.

There are four spacious and light-filled bedrooms, including a downstairs master bedroom, two upstairs double rooms and an upstairs twin room. All the rooms include bed linen, bath sheets, bath towels and hand towels. The bedrooms share two bathrooms, an upstairs shower room and a downstairs family bathroom.

Outside there is a fully enclosed, walled gravelled courtyard with a table/chairs and BBQ for al fresco dining in the afternoon sun. The front lawn offers a lovely spot to savour glorious views towards Rhossili Downs.

This is a brilliant location for enjoying the amazing natural landscape in the area. Rhossili Bay and the Worms Head are just over a mile from the cottage, whilst Porteynon, Horton, Oxwich and Llangennith beaches are just a short drive away. The area has a range of beautiful golf courses which take advantage of the picturesque setting. You can also visit the majestic castles at Oystermouth and Weobley

Both cottages are ideal for larger families looking to be together but still have privacy, or rent one cottage for a cosy relaxing holiday in the very beautiful Gower Peninsular with its stunning beaches.

Although quiet and peaceful, our holiday cottages are ideally situated as they are within easy access to the local beaches. It is just a short walk from the very beautiful coastal path to Mewslade Bay, Fall Bay and Rhossili Bay. We are very lucky to have the best of both worlds; not only do we have the beaches, but looking inland, there are stunning views of far-reaching countryside.

These holiday cottages are within walking distance of 3 stunning beaches, one being Rhossili Bay which has been previously voted as the best beach in the UK.

Fferm Llong Cottage is a former inn which has been tastefully converted and now sleeps up to 5 (+1). There are two bedrooms; 1 double and one triple (bunk beds and a single) with a fold away bed that can be used for a sixth person. This spacious cottage also comprises of an open plan kitchen/diner through lounge and a spacious bathroom. The lounge has two settees and occasional furniture. Exposed beams add to the cottage feel and there is an electric log effect fire. Outside there is a patio area with table and chairs – perfect for al fresco dining!

The Old School is on two levels and sleeps 2/3. It has a double room upstairs with built-in wardrobes and drawers, and a sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen/diner is fully fitted and the floors are finished in natural stone. The cottage benefits from oil fired central heating throughout but also has a log burner.

The closest beach is 5-10 minutes walk. The nearest restaurant/licensed premises is also 10 minutes walk. The nearest shop is only a short car journey away.

Gower is blessed with many sandy beaches, beautiful bays and interesting coves to explore. The South and West coasts of Gower vary between the sandy beaches and dramatic limestone cliffs, whereas the Northern coast of Gower forms part of the tidal Loughor Estuary where many nature reserves can be found.
