Among the accommodation options are the luxurious Cedrus Luxury Holiday Lodge and the vibrant Larch Luxury Holiday Cottage. The Cedrus lodge can accommodate up to 6 guests, featuring a double en suite bedroom, a twin bedroom, and a flexible twin room that can be converted into a double. The open-plan living space is fully equipped with modern amenities, including a dining table, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, and Wi-Fi. Outside, guests can unwind in the enclosed garden with a sun deck offering picturesque countryside views. Similarly, the Larch Cottage, accommodating 4 guests, boasts colourful and angular architecture, with a double en suite bedroom and a twin en suite bedroom. Both properties are designed with sustainability in mind, utilizing timber mainly from felled larch trees and insulated with two layers for minimal environmental impact.

For those seeking a more rustic experience, the Barn Owl Cottage, housed in a charming 17th-century barn, exudes character with exposed beams and stonework. The cottage features a double, twin, and single bedroom, a cosy lounge with wood burner, a dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen.

Guests can enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the surroundings, with the added convenience of an onsite vegetarian restaurant and coffee shop. Nearby, the historic Hutton-in-the-Forest Country House, dating back 400 years, hosts various events throughout the year, adding to the charm of the area. Barn Owl Cottage, Hutton-in-the-Forest, Penrith, Cumbria (Sleeps 1-5)

Barn Owl Cottage is converted from a 17th Century barn, next door to the owners' home near Penrith in Cumbria. It has great character, with exposed beams and stonework.

The cottage has 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom and 1 single bedroom.

Upstairs, the cottage has an open plan lounge, dining area, kitchen and 1 single bedroom. Double doors lead onto an outside sun balcony with stairs down to the garden area. Downstairs the cottage has an entrance with utility area, bathroom with over-bath shower, 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom.

The holiday cottage has full central heating. Upstairs has underfloor heating, plus a woodburning stove.

There is a TV and DVD player in the lounge, plus a TV in one of the bedrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher. The washing machine and tumble drier are downstairs near the utility area.

The cottage has its own private driveway and garden area with a picnic bench.

All bed linen, towels, duvets, tea towels and central heating are provided as part of the hire charge. Two baskets of logs per week are provided for the woodburning stove.

One small/medium size dog is allowed. The dog must not be left unattended in the property and it must be kept on a lead when outside. An additional charge of £20 per week per dog.

The cottage is well situated for visiting the Eden Valley and North Lakes. We are 30 minutes from Lake Ullswater, Keswick and Carlisle. All amenities are available in Penrith (10 minutes away) and there is a shop, post office and pub in the village of Skelton (1 mile).

Upfront Holiday Lodges are two timber properties. They are located on the outskirts of Hutton-in-the-Forest. This is a historic house with spectacular gardens. The town of Penrith is a few miles away. This is the hub of the Eden Valley. The lodges provide easy access to Hadrian's Wall and Keswick.

This is a peaceful location, however there is a vegetarian restaurant and coffee shop onsite.

Next door is Hutton-in-the-Forest Country House which is 400 years old. There are various events held here throughout the year.

The area is ideal for walking, cycling and fishing. Penrith is a short drive away. The town has a mixture of shops and places to eat. It is rich in history and provides a selection of attractions such as Penrith Castle.
