Tucked away in the scenic village of Cladich, Argyll, Pirn Mill is a beautifully updated standalone cottage full of charm. Surrounded by open countryside and gentle hills, it offers a calm and comfortable Highland hideaway, perfect for families seeking space, fresh air and a true change of pace.

Accommodation

Pirn Mill can accommodate up to six guests. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped, featuring an electric oven with gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle and toaster, making it easy for guests to cater for everyone during their stay.

The living and dining area is warm and inviting, with a gas log burner creating a cosy atmosphere. Patio doors open from the lounge into the garden, an ideal spot for morning coffee, barbecues, relaxing in the hot tub or gathering around the fire pit in the evening. From the garden, guests can enjoy views of the impressive Ben Cruachan and its surrounding peaks, one of Scotland’s most dramatic mountain ranges.

On the ground floor, the spacious master bedroom features a king-size bed and direct access to the large bathroom. Off the downstairs hallway, there is also a separate cloakroom with a WC and basin, along with a generous bathroom that includes a freestanding roll-top bath, separate shower, basin and WC.

Inside the cottage, a spiral staircase leads from the lounge to an upstairs bedroom with two comfortable single beds and a trundle bed that can be made into two additional singles.

Visiting the Area

Cladich is an excellent base for discovering the highlights of Argyll and the Highlands. Dalmally and the surrounding area offer a range of attractions that blend history, nature and outdoor adventure. A short drive from the village, guests can explore the dramatic ruins of Kilchurn Castle on the shores of Loch Awe, one of the most photographed castles in Scotland. Nearby, the striking Glenorchy Parish Church with its historic graveyard is also well worth a visit, while the River Orchy flows through the landscape and offers scenic walks and fishing spots.

There are also woodland paths to explore, golf available at Dalmally Golf Club, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the beautiful Highland scenery that surrounds the village.

Argyll Chalets is a family-run business providing 4 self-catering lodges which all reside in a beautiful location on Loch Awe which is within the Argyll village of Dalmally. The self-catering chalets all have magnificent views of the loch and beyond.

Ardbrecknish House, Ardbrecknish, Dalmally, Argyll (Sleeps 1-55)


Ardbrecknish Holiday Cottages & Apartments has a fortunate location being off the beaten track, yet ideal as a touring centre in Ardbrecknish, Dalmally in Argyll.

Ardbrecknish House has 10 self-catering properties ranging from the “Study” sleeping 2, through to the “West Wing”, a two-storey 17th Century wing which accommodates 12.

With a total of 55-bed places, Ardbrecknish can cater for large groups wishing to arrange family reunions birthdays etc and our catering staff can provide sit down meals or buffets depending on your requirements.

Within the house, we have the Ardbrecknish Room, with a large open fire and a wood-panelled ceiling. Here you can enjoy an excellent home-cooked meal freshly prepared from local produce. The Ardbrecknish Room also has a pool table, darts and Scottish carpet bowls.

There is also the friendly Ardbrecknish Bar serving fine ales and a Wedding reception Ardbrecknish good selection of malt whiskies. The bar is regarded as an extremely good tourist information centre!!

The house also has a laundry room with washing and drying facilities and free Wi-Fi is available. The beautiful grounds are ideal for woodland and waterside walks. There is a children’s play area and a barbecue is available.

Adjacent to Ardbrecknish House is “Loch Awe Boats” where canoes or motorboats can be hired for fishing or exploring the many islands, castles and wildlife that make Loch Awe “Scotland’s best-kept secret”.

Apart from the attractions of Lochaweside and Argyll on the doorstep, an hour or less takes you to Loch Lomond, Argyll Forest Park, Crinan Canal, and Mull of Kintyre, skiing and climbing at Glen Coe.

Oban, a busy, harbour town is the ferry base for cruising to the Magical Western Isles. Glasgow Airport is just over an hour's drive and Edinburgh or Inverness are within the scope of a day excursion.
