Just 10 yards from the beach, Golwg-y-Mor is perfectly situated for a quiet relaxing holiday or an active break. The safe, sandy beach stretches for miles along Cardigan Bay. 

You can watch spectacular sunsets over the sea, the dolphins tumbling past or at night the moon lighting up the sky and seas. You can climb up Cadair Idris (a few miles distant) or stroll along the seafront. You can fish, windsurf or just relax.

Golwg-y-Mor means ‘sea view’ and, this is exactly what you get. There cannot be many houses in the UK where you are more aware of the sea’s presence.

Tywyn is an old fashioned seaside town. As well as the miles of sandy beach there is a leisure centre with a swimming pool in the town, along with crazy golf.

Sea fishing is very popular, with bass, monkfish, and rays all being caught locally. A well-stocked tackle shop, just yards from the property, hires out any equipment you may need.

No trip to the seaside is complete without ice cream. Just one minute’s drive out of Tywyn is the famous Halo Ice Cream factory. Their delicious honey flavoured ice cream is only available at the factory.

43 Shoregate Cottage offers charming self catering accommodation in the quaint village of Crail. Our cottage is Fife enjoys stunning sea views, perfect for a relaxing coastal holiday.

The house is on two floors with one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a bathroom with a shower on the ground floor. One double bedroom, a kitchen/breakfast room and a sitting/dining room are on the first floor. There is a small patio area at the front of the house overlooking the harbour.

Crail is a beautiful small historic fishing village in the East Neuk of Fife. There is great scope for walking, cycling, boat trips, physical activities, sailing and bird watching in Crail and the surrounding area. There are also many attractions and places of interest to visit in Fife and these are only short drives from the house.

The village is well served for amenities with three hotels which serve meals, three cafes, a fruit and vegetable shop, a butcher's shop, two small supermarkets, a post office, a chemist and a fish and chip shop. These are all within a few minutes walking distance from the house.

There are two beaches, one at the harbour and one at Roome Bay (400 metres along the coast) and two swing parks. There are two golf courses at Balcomie (2 miles east along the coast).
