The house is on two floors with one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a bathroom with a shower on the ground floor. One double bedroom, a kitchen/breakfast room and a sitting/dining room are on the first floor. There is a small patio area at the front of the house overlooking the harbour.
Crail is a beautiful small historic fishing village in the East Neuk of Fife. There is great scope for walking, cycling, boat trips, physical activities, sailing and bird watching in Crail and the surrounding area. There are also many attractions and places of interest to visit in Fife and these are only short drives from the house.
The village is well served for amenities with three hotels which serve meals, three cafes, a fruit and vegetable shop, a butcher's shop, two small supermarkets, a post office, a chemist and a fish and chip shop. These are all within a few minutes walking distance from the house.
There are two beaches, one at the harbour and one at Roome Bay (400 metres along the coast) and two swing parks. There are two golf courses at Balcomie (2 miles east along the coast).

Athan Cottage offers self catering accommodation in the small Scottish village of Craigrothie in Fife. This holiday accommodation can sleep up to 4 people and is just over 2 miles from Cupar and 8 miles from St Andrews.
The holiday cottage has a cosy, homely feel and includes everything you need for a relaxing break away. There is a TV, DVD player, reading material, jigsaws and games in the lounge along with a thermostatically controlled fire which completes the room. Off the lounge is a spacious and well-equipped kitchen that includes a fridge/freezer, electric cooker and a microwave oven.
Bedroom 1 has twin beds and bedroom 2 has a double bed. Both bedrooms face north over agricultural land towards Hill of Tarvit. The bathroom is fully equipped with a walk in shower.
Should you need to do any washing or drying during your stay; a washing machine and tumble dryer can be found in the utility room.
The holiday cottage has a secluded and private south facing garden complete with table and chairs. A garage is also available along with secure parking.
The self-catering cottage is ideally placed in the village of Craigrothie which is great for golfers as there are a number of courses within a few miles. If you want to venture further then the East Neuk of Fife is a lovely place to visit with its quaint harbours.
