Kilmore Cottages are two self catering holiday homes, located on an organic working for outside of Ballask near Kilmore, Co Wexford. Our holiday cottages are set in a peaceful and rural location that provides a lovely base from which to explore this part of Ireland and those who are in need of some well deserved peace and tranquillity.

We are pleased to be able to offer all our guests a guided tour of the farm, which can be arranged during your stay. The farm is engaged in animal husbandry. You can see the cows as they graze and rear their calves and everyone loves the donkeys which guests are welcome to feed! There are two hens in an enclosed run in the garden to provide you with farm fresh eggs every day. The herds of cows often graze in the paddocks behind the cottages, depending on where the best grasslands are. You can also visit and buy produce from neighbouring farms.

About Kilmore Cottages

Our two holiday cottages have a homely feel and have been well equipped with everything you may need during your break away. Please note that both our properties are situated adjacent to each other and can be booked singly or in combinations suitable to accommodate your group. Our properties include:

Kilmore Cottage - Sleeps a maximum of 6 people + infants. There is a downstairs double bedroom with adjoining en suite, two twin rooms and is an ideal property for those with a disability.

Teach Eile - A single storey holiday cottage that is suitable for those with a disability, it has a double room with adjoining en suite, a twin or triple room and a family bathroom.

This spacious self catering cottage makes a perfect base for families to relax and make the most of County Wexford. Venture further afield to the beaches at Rosslare Strand or the Hook Peninsula, explore the Saltee Islands or take in an opera in Wexford Town. A terrific Ireland cottage for a memorable family holiday.

Our holiday home can sleep up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms. There is a lounge, kitchen, dining room, utility room and WC on the ground floor. All bedrooms are upstairs, these are made up as 2 doubles and 2 twins, one of the doubles also has an en suite shower room. 

Hook Lighthouse and John Kennedy park are nearby there is also a children’s playground within 2 miles. Traditional music and horse riding within 3 miles and sea fishing, hill walking and golf within 8 miles. Cinema 11 miles.

Moss Cottage is a picturesque three bedroom house beside the town of Bunclody, Co. Wexford. It is tucked away in a very quiet site beside the owners’ home, 100 metres from the road. There is plenty of parking space beside the cottage.

Visitors have access to a 1-hectare prize-winning garden. The cottage is available all year round as self catering accommodation for five adults or a family of six.

Moss Cottage is a relaxing haven removed from traffic or noise but is still only a very short walk to the attractive small town of Bunclody. The town has a picturesque main street with a row of lime trees up the centre beside a small stream. It has a variety of supermarkets, pubs, restaurants and coffee shops and the people are very friendly and helpful. 

There is a pleasant short walk beside the Slaney river through beautiful old beech and oak trees as far as the clubhouse of Bunclody Golf Club where you can have a drink or something to eat in very picturesque surroundings. The town has several ATM machines, an excellent library and a walk-in cultural centre called the Artbank.

This holiday cottage is located 300 metres from the beach, shops, restaurants and just 500 metres to the fort and harbour, central to both Waterford and Wexford.

The outstanding feature of our holiday cottage is the fantastic view of the beach and entrance to Waterford Harbour from Hook Head. There is always something going on, a ship going in or out, children on the beach playing, kite surfing, a very colourful sight, or just the tide going in and out. At night Hook Lighthouse flashes across the house every 20 seconds or so. This is a place people come back to again and again. 

This self catering holiday cottage is central to Wexford and Waterford via Ballyhack / Passage East ferry, 6 golf courses within 10 miles on the Waterford side and 6 also on the Wexford side within 30 miles.
