Parcllwyd Cottage and Caravan offers lovely self catering accommodation set in the rural countryside of Pembrokeshire on the outskirts of the village of Cilgerran. We are perfect for a memorable holiday in a great part of the country.

Parcllwyd Cottage

Our cosy cottage sleeps up to 5 people in 3 bedrooms, perfect for a family or group getaway. The cottage is tastefully furnished and well-equipped to a high standard. On arrival, we offer a welcoming tray in the kitchen with tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits and in the fridge a carton of milk and a complimentary bottle of wine.

On the ground floor is a relaxing lounge with an open fire, TV with built in Freeview, DVD player and matching three piece suite and an electric fire. Rustle up a storm in the fully-equipped kitchen that comes with a range of appliances: fridge, electric hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher and breakfast bar complete with two stools. The dining room seats 6.

Bedrooms consist of a double room with a Velux window and Freeview TV, a twin room with a Velux window and a single room. To the rear of cottage upstairs is the bathroom. Parcllwyd has a large garden, which also has an enclosed courtyard outside the back door. There is a patio area where garden furniture is positioned and where BBQ can be lit if required.

Parcllwyd Caravan

Our luxurious caravan has its own private plot with a small, fenced garden and enjoys glorious valley views. The caravan sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms and is well-equipped throughout. Inside there is a TV with digital free view, DVD/Blu-ray smart player, fridge, freezer, full size gas hob with extract hood and oven, built-in microwave oven. The lounge also has a seating area that has a double bed underneath.

Bedrooms consist of a master room with garden/valley views and a twin room. The rooms share a bathroom with a walk-in shower. Outside there is a secluded garden and decking area, offering a great spot for a morning coffee.

Visiting Cilgerran & Exploring Pembrokeshire

Parcllwyd is around 5 miles from Cardigan, 17 miles to the busy town of Haverfordwest, 50 miles from Tenby and 20 miles from Fishguard where you can sail to Ireland for a day trip. The nearest beaches are Poppit Sands and Newquay, where often dolphins can be spotted.

There is a fantastic walking/riding country, including open moorland and quiet country lanes. We are within easy reach of the wild expanses of the Preseli Hills as well as the national park footpaths, one of which runs opposite the cottage and goes through to Boncath. On the other side of the village there is a wildlife park, which is very popular with visitors as well as Cilgerran castle.

Manesty Holiday Cottages, Borrowdale, Keswick, Cumbria, Lake District (Sleeps 1-8)

Manesty is in Borrowdale in the heart of the Lake District. We are 5 miles from the market town of Keswick, less than a mile’s walk from Derwent Water and less than a mile from the little hamlet of Grange.

Our cottages and glamping accommodation sleep from 2 to 8. As well as week-long stays from either Fridays or Saturdays (arrival day depends on the accommodation), we also offer short breaks from Mondays for 4 nights or from Fridays for 3 nights in some of the accommodations. Set in about 2 acres of well-tended gardens and grounds our accommodation has wonderful views towards the fields, woodland and fells of Borrowdale. We offer reduced prices in the larger cottages for smaller parties.

Manesty has been our family’s home for 6 generations. Our family has a long history of welcoming visitors to the Lakes and we are proud to continue the tradition. Our accommodation is summarised below and is explained on our website in detail.

In the interests of our customers, we have a no-smoking policy, both inside and in the garden and grounds, and we do not accept any pets.

Manesty Band (sleeps 6/8):

Manesty Band was originally a barn which was incorporated into the old farmhouse in the 19th Century; consequently, it has a Victorian feel.

Manesty (sleeps 5/7):

Manesty is the heart of the original farmhouse and dates back to medieval times when Manesty was the northern outpost of Furness Abbey’s wool-producing empire.

Cosy sitting room and large kitchen dining room with wood burning stove exposed beams and traditional meat hooks.

Cocklety How Stable Loft is part of Cocklety How, a beautifully situated converted and extended barn.

1 king double room, 1 standard double room and 1 single room with wide 4ft single bed.

Sitting room and kitchen dining room, both with views across Borrowdale.

High Seat (sleeps 3/5):

High Seat is the southern farm building which was extended and converted into a bungalow in the 1960s when the large picture windows in the sitting room and kitchen were installed.

A turn of the millennium extension to Cocklety How.

Manesty Dairy (sleeps 2):

Manesty Dairy is the compact Edwardian extension which was originally built to replace the front dairy. It was the scene of butter making and ham curing well into the mid-20th century but is now a cosy hideaway for two.

Small rockery garden and close to the path to panoramic views in our fellside woodland.

Cocklety How Studio (sleeps 2):

Cocklety How Studio is part of Cocklety How, a beautifully situated converted and extended barn.

A fun, retro static caravan for a back-to-nature break next to woodland. Ideal for the wildlife enthusiast with birds and squirrels close by.

Visting Borrowdale & Exploring Cumbria:

In Borrowdale, you will be in for a treat amongst some of England’s most spectacular scenery: walk the lake shores, valleys and high fells; tour picturesque villages and fascinating places; cycle, row, birdwatch, fish, climb; or simply unwind in rural tranquillity.

From Manesty you can step out into a walking adventure straight from the door, be it a relaxing ramble along the river or lakeshore; a rewarding walk up the famous Catbells (the path starts right next to us); or a long day hike taking in some of Borrowdale’s high fells or the Newland’s Horseshow. Grange boasts a picturesque stone bridge, a shallow gravelly stretch of the River Derwent, ideal for paddling and exploring, and a café offering delicious home-cooked food. The rocky shores of southwest Derwent Water are ideal for exploring, picnicking and skimming stones! There are plenty of companies locally who can help you find your adventurous side: is yours on the water, up a crag or even maybe in the sky?

Latcrag Caravan is located on its own grounds within High Row Farm and it provides wonderful views and self-catering accommodation within the Cumbrian village of Threlkeld. Threlkeld is to the east of Keswick and it offers a superb base for walkers and cyclists.

The self-catering caravan is 35 feet long and 12 feet wide and will sleep up to 6 people in a spacious double, twin room and sofa bed in the lounge.

There is a lounge area complete with TV, radio, gas fire and dining table. The kitchen is well equipped and includes a cooker, fridge, kettle, microwave, crockery and cutlery.

Panel heaters are stored in all rooms. Pillows, duvets, duvet covers and blankets all provided. Sheets, pillowcases and towels are required.

The area surrounding the self-catering accommodation is the ideal setting for walking, cycling, fishing, horse riding and golfing. The nearby Keswick has many interesting places to visit such as Honister Slate Mine, Castlerigg Stone Circle, Keswick Museum and Lake District National Park.

These inviting holiday chalets, with either one or two bedrooms and our three bedrooms, Four Star Holiday Cottage are perfectly appointed for your holiday enjoyment. With wall-to-wall carpeting and full double glazing, they provide a real home from home. The kitchens are well equipped with fridge, cooker, microwave and ironing facilities, and the comfortable lounges have a TV.
