Skilfully undertaken and refurbished to a high standard the holiday properties retain charm and character offering a mix of traditional structure and contemporary design. They stand proudly across the courtyard from the owner’s home and 1800-acre working sheep farm in the North Pennine Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The many footpaths (Pennine Way) and groomed cycle ways allow guests the freedom to explore the stonewalled fields and surrounding moorland. Trout and salmon fishing can be enjoyed on a quiet stretch of the South Tyne river running through the farm.

Broadmea is perfectly situated as a touring base for exploring a wealth of natural and historical treasures in the area. Hadrian’s Wall is only 8 miles away, with the Scottish Border and the Lake District 25 miles distant. Nearby Alston (5 miles) offers an interesting array of shops, pubs, pony trekking, electric bicycle hire, steam engine railway and 18-hole golf. The local village pub, Kirkstyle Inn (1 mile), offers good food.
