Accommodation
Originally derelict farm buildings, the site has been beautifully transformed into a complex of eight cottages, each catering to different family requirements. Rated 4 and 5 stars by Visit England, the cottages are tastefully decorated, comfortably furnished, and set within three acres of grounds.
Guests enjoy shared access to landscaped gardens, patio areas, an indoor heated swimming pool with changing facilities, and an outdoor children’s play paddock. A play barn is also available, offering a pool table, table tennis, table football, and a dedicated play area for children under five.

Swimming Pool
The superb indoor pool is designed in keeping with the original farm buildings. Measuring 4.5m x 12.5m and maintained at a pleasant 31°C, it features wide steps for safe entry. With underfloor heating, air conditioning, and changing facilities (including baby changing), it provides a year-round tropical ambience.
Family Facilities
Guests can relax on the sun terrace or in the cottage gardens, while children enjoy the Wendy House in the courtyard, complete with outdoor toys and bikes. The covered outdoor dining area, seating over 20, is perfect for family gatherings or parties and comes with a large gas barbecue. The outdoor play paddock features swings, a slide, goal posts, volleyball, cricket, and pitch and putt, while a games room offers entertainment for all ages. For quieter moments, a swinging seat overlooks the countryside views.
Exploring the Area
Footpaths lead directly from Lower Wood Farm to Mautby, West Caister, and the marshes along the River Bure, where wildlife such as barn owls, deer, kingfishers, woodpeckers, hawks, ducks, and geese can be spotted. Quiet country lanes nearby are ideal for cycling to local villages, making this a perfect base for exploring Norfolk’s beautiful countryside and coast.
