Derwent Cottage is an upside-down property featuring a large upstairs sitting room with exposed beams and a log-burning stove. There is also a very well-equipped kitchen. Ideal for two couples, the ground floor includes an en-suite double bedroom with a walk-in shower and bath, a twin-bedded room and an additional bathroom.
Dove Cottage – Sleeps 3
Originally a milking parlour, Dove Cottage has a cosy sitting room with a log-burning stove, exposed original stonework and a 40-inch wall-mounted television. Upstairs, guests will find old beams, a double bedroom with a king-sized bed, a single-bedded room and a bathroom.
Wye Cottage – Sleeps 2
Wye Cottage is a large romantic hideaway for two, boasting a spacious bedroom with a king-sized carved bed and oak beams. Adjoining it is a large bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower and bath. The sitting room has a natural stone fireplace incorporating a wood-burning stove.

Guests can wake up to the sounds of the countryside, leave their car behind and walk or cycle along the level, wildflower-strewn Monsal Trail, exploring the newly opened tunnels. A short walk leads to the village, where provisions can be bought and the picturesque “Sheepwash Bridge” admired, or a drink enjoyed at one of the pubs. The area is rich in history, beauty and gastro experiences. Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are within a 10-minute drive, and the attractive market town of Bakewell offers a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants.
