About East Trewent Farm Cottages

Built around 200 years ago, East Trewent Farm is a traditional stone farmhouse with outbuildings set in just over an acre of land. The cottages have been tastefully decorated and furnished throughout, combining period character with modern comfort. Guests also benefit from ample parking in the gravelled farmyard.

The Cottages

The Cart House – This former cart house welcomes guests through a glazed arched entrance with a tiled floor, exposed beams, and stable bars. The ground floor includes a bathroom and shower room, along with a living/dining room featuring a stone wall leading to a well-equipped kitchen. It accommodates up to 4 people in one double and one twin bedroom.

The Granary – Once a working granary, this cosy cottage boasts a galleried seating area overlooking the living room with a striking full-height stone wall. The first floor has two spacious bedrooms, one double and one twin (with space for a cot), while the ground floor includes a second double bedroom and a good-sized bathroom with shower over bath. The living/dining area features a wood burner and French doors leading to a grassy outdoor space.

The Milking Parlour – With its lofty lounge and dining area complete with exposed beams, this former milking parlour offers plenty of rustic charm. The main double bedroom includes a quirky ‘Crog loft,’ accessed by a fixed ladder, making it a fun sleeping area for up to two children.

Each cottage provides a warm and comfortable base for exploring the surrounding area.

Exploring Freshwater East & Pembrokeshire

Freshwater East village lies beside a beautiful sheltered bay, perfect for beach days and coastal walks. Nearby attractions include Barafundle Bay and the Stackpole Lily Ponds, both offering stunning scenery.

Guests will find pubs and restaurants within a short drive, while the village of Lamphey, just over 2 miles away, offers a bakery, post office, and petrol station. The historic town of Pembroke is also close by, with its impressive castle, shops, and eateries. For walkers, the area provides both short and long routes showcasing the natural beauty of Pembrokeshire’s coastline and countryside.

East Trewent Farm Cottages provides 4-star accommodation for up to 7 people. The cottages can sleep 2, 5 or 7 guests. This is the ideal base for couples, friends or families wanting to explore Pembrokeshire. Our charming holiday homes are located on a farm near Freshwater East. This village is next to a sheltered bay. It is only 7 miles from Pembroke in the Pembrokeshire National Park.

They have all been tastefully decorated and furnished throughout. Built around 200 years ago East Trewent Farm stands on just over an acre of land. It is an attractive stone farmhouse with outbuildings. There is ample car parking in the gravelled farmyard.

The Cart House: This former cart house welcomes you the moment you step into the glazed arched entranceway. The hall has a tiled floor, exposed beams and feature open stable bars. The bath and shower room are on the ground floor. It can accommodate 4 people in a double bed and twin. The living/dining room has a feature stone wall leading to a well-equipped kitchen.

The Granary: The former Granary is a homely cottage. The staircase leads to a galleried seating area overlooking the living room. It has a full-height feature stone wall. On the first floor are two large bedrooms. One with a double bed and the other with twin beds. This double has adequate space for a cot. The third double bedroom is on the ground floor. There is a good size bathroom, with shower over the bath. The living/dining room has a wood burner and doors leading to a grassy outdoor space.

Barafundle Bay and the Stackpole Lily Ponds are also close to our cottages.

The Milking Parlour: Originally a milking parlour this cottage has a lofty lounge/dining area with exposed beams. The double bedroom has a ‘Crog loft ‘(with fixed ladder), suitable for up to 2 children.

There are pubs/restaurants within a short drive providing good food. Lamphey is just over 2 miles away. It has a bakery, post office and petrol station.

Nearby, the historic town of Pembroke has a variety of shops. For those who love walking there are plenty of short and long walks in the area.
