An electric range cooker with three ovens adds to the charm, while underfloor heating throughout the ground floor level enhances comfort.

Ascending to the upper level, guests will find two bedrooms, each offering a unique and serene atmosphere. Tiverton is a historic market town occupied by the Romans who used it as a base for their activities in the West Country. The local museum provides an interesting insight into this aspect of the town's history. Visit the castle with its famous tapestry hangings and the pannier market held Fridays and Saturdays. 

There is a newly built leisure centre and a cinema. The River Exe passes through the town as does the Grand Western Canal and horse-drawn barge trips take you through the most picturesque countryside. Newhouse Farm Cottages is a rural retreat of 9 cottages set in 30 acres of courtyard gardens, organic fields and woodland in the heart of Devon at Witheridge.

Whether you are looking for a romantic break, a memory-making family holiday or a friend and family get-together, Newhouse Farm Cottages is the perfect venue. It can sleep up to 47 guests at any one time. For large groups, the function room, The Hayloft, is available for dining, meeting and partying, which means that everyone can come together when they want and return to the privacy of their own cottage for relaxation when needed!


The 30 acres of grounds are not farmed regularly and so, being free from pesticides, there is an abundance of wildlife. Regularly spotted roaming the fields are red deer, hares and badgers. Birds including buzzards, woodpeckers, barn owls, nuthatches and bullfinches can be seen either soaring high in the sky or eating from one of the many feeders dotted around.

The children’s outdoor play area has swings, slides and a climbing wall as well as a 4-metre trampoline with a safety enclosure net. There is a basketball hoop and football goal as well as large fields for football, cricket or rounders matches. Tennis can be played on the village court – it's free for our guests to use but the equipment is not provided and booking is essential.

South Coombe Country Cottages are a collection of luxurious holiday homes in Devon. The 5 cottages are set on the sunny side of a wooded valley near Tiverton. Each cottage has its own space and guests are welcome to explore the 15 acres of orchards.

Dating back to the 18th Century, the barns have been beautifully renovated to provide family friendly accommodation. As well has having charm and character, they include modern amenities to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. Each cottage has Wi-Fi internet access and stunning countryside views.

Soft linen and towels are included, as well as the kitchen essentials. The cottages all have flat screen televisions, with DVD players. Cots, high chairs and a host of other baby equipment are also available free of charge, upon request.

Pond Cottage is a charming, beautifully furnished, luxury stone and cob detached holiday cottage within the grounds of a 15th century working farm of 150 acres of beautiful meadows grazed by our sheep and lambs and three very productive apple orchards.

The cottage lies in its own enclosed garden with a seating & barbeque area and lovely views.

The solid oak stable door takes you into the open plan triple aspect living room with massive oak beams, oak shutters, wood burner, comfortable sofas, TV/DVD player recorder, French doors leading to the garden, underfloor heating, slate floor and impressive solid oak staircase.

The custom designed kitchen has granite floor, granite work surfaces & a lovely oak dining area.

Upstairs under the exposed roof trusses there is an additional cosy seating area with CD player and a lovely view of the pond.

All the flooring is solid oak.

There are 2 double bedrooms each with an en suite facilities, both are light, spacious & very comfortable.
