The 5 Star Visit England Gold Award cottages are full of character, with features including exposed beams and log-burning stoves. Each property has a fully equipped kitchen with appliances including a washing machine, dishwasher and microwave, while free Wi-Fi is available throughout.

All three cottages also have 40-inch Smart TVs, and guests can benefit from off-street parking, cycle storage and an electric vehicle charging point.

Derwent Cottage – Sleeps 4

Derwent Cottage is a spacious upside-down cottage sleeping up to 4 people and is particularly suitable for two couples.

Upstairs is a large sitting room featuring characterful exposed beams and a log-burning stove, creating a warm and inviting place to relax. There is also a well-equipped kitchen with everything needed for a comfortable self catering break.

Downstairs are two bedrooms. The double bedroom has en suite facilities with a walk-in shower and bath, while the second bedroom is furnished with twin beds. An additional bathroom is also available.

Dove Cottage – Sleeps 3

Originally a milking parlour, Dove Cottage has been carefully converted into a cosy holiday property sleeping up to 3 people.

The comfortable sitting room retains original exposed stonework and features a log-burning stove, along with a wall-mounted 40-inch television.

Upstairs, traditional beams add further character to the accommodation. There is a double bedroom with a king-size bed, a single bedroom and a bathroom.

Wye Cottage – Sleeps 2

Wye Cottage is a spacious romantic hideaway for two, making it an excellent choice for couples looking to enjoy a peaceful Peak District escape.

The generous bedroom features a carved king-size bed and attractive oak beams. Adjoining the bedroom is a large bathroom with both a spacious walk-in shower and a bath.

The sitting room has a natural stone fireplace incorporating a wood-burning stove, providing a cosy setting for relaxing evenings after a day exploring the countryside.

Visiting Ashford-in-the-Water & Exploring Derbyshire

Churchdale Farm is ideally positioned for guests looking to experience the scenery, history and attractions of the Peak District.

The nearby Monsal Trail provides excellent opportunities for both walking and cycling. Guests can leave the car behind and enjoy this largely level route, passing through beautiful countryside and the trail's impressive former railway tunnels. Churchdale Farm is just a quarter of a mile from the Monsal Trail and provides a cycle storage shed for guests.

The picturesque village of Ashford-in-the-Water is also within walking distance. Visitors can pick up provisions in the village, admire the famous Sheepwash Bridge or enjoy refreshments at one of the local pubs.

Some of Derbyshire's best-known historic attractions are within easy reach. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall can both be reached within approximately a 10-minute drive.

The property comprises a beautifully renovated farmhouse and annexe that can accommodate 20-24 people, with most of the 9 or 11 bedrooms featuring private bathrooms, ensuring nearly everyone enjoys their own space. Farmhouse & Annexe

Our wonderful accommodation consists of a beautifully renovated farmhouse and Annexe which sleeps 20-24 people and guests benefit from private bathrooms for almost every bedroom (either 9 or 11 bedrooms and 8 or 10 bathrooms). There is ample space for everyone to eat, drink and socialise together.

The ground floor is an open plan design and a fabulous area to unwind in. Rustle up a storm in the fully-equipped kitchen that comes with white shaker-style fitted cupboards and a combination of solid oak and granite worktops, plus a Belfast sink. Appliances include an AGA-type oil-fired cooker and a second range cooker with two ovens and a breakfast area too. French doors open onto a choice of rear terraces for Al-fresco dining with stunning uninterrupted views.

Enjoy a feast in the dining area that comes with two magnificent dining tables that easily push together for everyone to sit together. After a busy day sightseeing, unwind in the spacious beamed sitting area which includes a toasty double-sided wood-burning stove and leads into the second Sitting area which is an ‘Orangery Style’ relaxing area to savour the far-reaching views.

All of the bedrooms are individually furnished and enjoy delightful touches, perfect for a restful nights sleep. 10 of the 11 bedrooms have lavish ensuite facilities, plus sumptuous fluffy towels and bathrobes.

Please enquire to the owners if you wish to add a further 4 guests or require additional bedrooms and we can offer our Coach House which nestles in the same courtyard setting with two further bedrooms both ensuite at an optional extra cost.

Visiting Uppermoor Farm & exploring the Peak National Park/Derbyshire

We are in a fantastic location for exploring the area with a network of footpaths and bridleways right on its doorstep. The nearby town of Ashbourne (known as the gateway to the Peak District) has lots of boutiques, antique shops, superb restaurants and cafes, plus an abundance of wonderful Georgian architecture. Bakewell with its famous ‘Bakewell Pudding’ and also Buxton ‘a Spa town’ with its gorgeous pavilion gardens and theatre are a must to visit too if you have time.

We are very fortunate and own the 70 acres of rolling green fields surrounding the property and guests can watch the fabulous sunsets and feast their eyes on the famous dry stone boundary walling everywhere, which gives a ‘ pretty patchwork effect’ on the horizon. There are many superb attractions to visit which are easily accessible and just a short drive away by car including:

Chatsworth House.

Dovedale (with its famous stepping stones).

Ilam (known for being the plague village).

Thorpe Cloud.

Lathkill Dale.

Monsal Head.
