Local Area

Child Okeford is a pretty village, 5 miles north of Blandford Forum in North Dorset, with a well stocked village shop with post office and small cafe area, an organic farm shop, cafe and art gallery, two pubs serving good food and interesting walks on the doorstep. The market towns of Blandford Forum and Shaftesbury are close by and the rest of Dorset and its glorious countryside and coastline is within easy reach.

Accommodation

The Old Stables is a tasteful barn conversion, built in Cotswold stone. The cottage is Grade II Listed, with ornamental tallet steps, exposed beams and pine wood doors, situated in the shadow of a grade II listed manor house. The charming two-storey building has a beautiful, fully equipped kitchen with a dining area and a spacious sitting room.

On the first floor are two bright and comfortable double bedrooms and a modern bathroom. Patio doors from the sitting room open on to a large private garden with views over the open countryside. The Old Stables is tastefully furnished to a high standard with a great deal of thought and attention making sure your stay is a comfortable and relaxing one, ideal for holidaying couples that enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside.

The Old Stables sleeps up to four people. Children and pets welcome (there is a small pet charge for dogs). The Old Stables has the following amenities:

The Old Stables is a detached cottage located within the heart of the New Forest National Park. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the holiday accommodation is ideal for walking, cycling and riding.

The accommodation is of a high standard with central heating throughout. The lounge/dining room has French windows leading to a private patio with lovely views across fields and forest.

The comfortable bedroom comes with an en suite shower room and has a six foot bed (which can be made into twin beds if you prefer).

French windows lead to the patio. There is a well-equipped galley kitchen with tabletop cooker with 2 hot plates oven and a grill, fridge with icebox and all kitchen utensils. Bed linen, towels, electricity and heating are all included.

There is also a generous welcome pack with milk, tea, coffee, bread, butter, cereals, fruit juices & preserves. Car parking is by your front door well away from the road. Situated just 4 miles from Exit 1 of M27.
