Luccombe Holidays is a 650-acre working family farm set in a peaceful hidden valley in the heart of the Dorset countryside, offering eleven beautifully appointed self-catering cottages. Designed for relaxed, flexible stays, it is the perfect place to unwind, switch off, and enjoy time together, surrounded by rolling farmland and woodland, yet within easy reach of Dorset’s most iconic landscapes.

Guests can enjoy excellent on-site facilities, including a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, and games room, making Luccombe Holidays a true year-round destination. There is also a tennis court, children’s play area, woodland walk, table tennis, outdoor games, and the popular Fairy and Elf Door Hunt. Families particularly love meeting the animals, with alpaca walking and animal feeding experiences available at weekends and during school holidays.

Ideally located, Luccombe Holidays is just a 10–15 minute walk across the fields to the historic village of Milton Abbas, home to the Hambro Arms pub and a local farm shop, while the Jurassic Coast is only around 17 miles away. The Old Sty
Sleeps 4 guests in one double and one twin bedroom. This single-storey cottage has a large shower room, making it suitable for guests with limited mobility or elderly guests.

The Cake House
Sleeps 4 guests in one king and one twin bedroom. This single-storey cottage has a bathroom with a bath and enjoys lovely views over the lake and valley, making it ideal for families with young children.

The Stables
Sleeps 5–7 guests in one king bedroom, one twin bedroom, and a triple room with a single bed and bunk beds.

The Stalls
Sleeps 4 guests in one king and one twin bedroom. Set over two storeys, this cottage can be interlinked with The Tackroom if required.

Blossom Cottage

Turnip Cottage

Atlantis Cottage
Sleeps 2–4 guests in one king bedroom and on a sofa bed, with an additional ottoman in the bedroom for extra comfort or flexibility. Priced for two guests, with an additional charge for third and fourth guests.

Monopoly Cottage
Sleeps 2–4 guests in one king bedroom with an additional single bed in the same room, plus a sofa bed. Priced for two guests, with an additional charge for third and fourth guests.

Additional Information

The Stalls, Tackroom, and Stables are all two-storey properties and include two WCs. Dishwashers are provided in all units except The Granary.

Blossom, Lavender, Turnip, Atlantis, and Monopoly Cottage are strictly pet-free.

Outside of the holiday home is a very private and sunny south facing terrace and garden. This provides guests with a peaceful place to relax, soak up the sun and enjoy some al fresco dining.

Local Area

Child Okeford is a pretty village, 5 miles north of Blandford Forum in North Dorset, with a well stocked village shop with post office and small cafe area, an organic farm shop, cafe and art gallery, two pubs serving good food and interesting walks on the doorstep. The market towns of Blandford Forum and Shaftesbury are close by and the rest of Dorset and its glorious countryside and coastline is within easy reach.
