Clashmore Holiday Cottages offer self catering holiday accommodation in a beautiful part of Scotland, in the Stoer Peninsula. Our holiday homes are at Stoer near Lochinver and offer a comfortable base for couples and families who want a get away from it all break.

About Clashmore Holiday Cottages:

Available to all three-holiday cottages are a freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. Each holiday cottage is fully equipped and includes a television, DVD and CD player, hoover, microwave, iron, duvets, linen and towels. A child’s cot is also available. The holiday cottages are amply supplied with electric heaters, and storage heating is available in the winter months. Car parking is provided at each cottage.

For peace, quiet and just getting away from it all, Holly Cottage is ideal. A former croft house, it has been renovated and now contains a modern kitchen/dining room; lounge, bath/shower room, 2 double-bedded rooms, single bedroom.

Set in a quiet, secluded location overlooking Loch na Claise, Lochside Cottage has a modernised and well equipped kitchen/dining room; lounge, double bedroom, twin-bedded room, bath/shower room. A fold-away bed is also available

The Byre sleeps 2 and is situated in an excellent location overlooking the Loch and out towards the waters of the Minch, The Byre is the place to stay if you just want to be alone with the person you love. It has a modern kitchen/dining room/lounge; bath and shower room, a double-bedded room.

Visiting Assynt & Exploring Sutherland:

There are shops, petrol, restaurants and a bank in Lochinver - nine miles away. Fishing is available on your doorstep, with a boat for hire, on Loch na Claise.

Our traditional cottages have been modernised by us and are comfortable and well-equipped. Assynt is an ideal location if you are coming to explore the breathtaking North Coast 500, to pursue one of the many available outdoor activities or simply coming to this stunning location for rest and tranquillity.

The Smithy House, Stoer, Lochinver, Sutherland (Sleeps 1-2)

The Smithy House offers superb self-catering accommodation in the quaint village of Stoer. We are set on the North Coast 500 and just North of Lochinver and Ullapool, offering a great base for exploring Sutherland.

We have two beautifully furnished properties available, The Smithy and The Byre. Each cottage is nestled within the same 3 acres of gardens and both boast spectacular views of the unspoilt landscape. Each cottage has been elegantly renovated to offer modern accommodation whilst still retaining its original character.

The Smithy:

This delightful property has been finished to the highest standards and comes with a lovely open plan living area/bedroom. A cosy living area has a 2-seater sofa and a leather tub armchair, a wood dining table and chairs, Wi-Fi, a library and a CD radio. The well-equipped kitchen is great for home-cooking and includes a fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, cooker-hob, oven and grill).

The bedroom comes with twin beds and quality mattresses and a gorgeous cathedral ceiling and a Velux window. A modern shower room is also available. Outside there is a private garden, great for a morning coffee whilst enjoying the glorious views of Loch Neil Bhain.

The Byre:

Our fantastic property is great for an unforgettable break in a picturesque setting. The light-filled cottage includes cathedral ceilings and Velux windows to create a relaxing atmosphere. Inside there is an open plan kitchen with a fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, cooker-hob, oven and grill. A lovely living area has a toasty multi-fuel burning stove, 2-seater sofa, armchair, a library and Wi-Fi.

A separate double bedroom is perfect for a restful night’s sleep and has a comfy mattress, high ceiling and Velux window. A shower room is also available. Outside there is garden furniture for al fresco dining whilst admiring the beautiful surroundings.

The quaint village of Stoer is home to a gorgeous white sandy beach which is less than a mile from us. You can see the stunning local wildlife including otters, seals, deer and birdlife. Only a short drive from us is Stoer lighthouse which offers majestic views of the sea. A pretty 20-minute drive will take you to Lochniver, home to shops, a mobile bank, medical centre, garage, post office, leisure centre, restaurants and pubs

Stoer Villa is a family-friendly holiday let in a stunning part of the Scottish Highlands. This traditional 19th Century stone house is located at Stoer near Lochinver, an ideal base from which to explore Sutherland. Sleeping up to 9, this cosy holiday home is ideal for families and large groups.

Stoer is a perfect base for outdoor activities. You will find many walks with breathtaking views, great fishing opportunities and white sandy beaches. 

With so much to do nearby, this is a haven for lovers of the great outdoors:

- The coast is superb for sea kayaking (kayaks can be rented locally)
