Noelle's Cottages, Middleton, Pickering, North Yorkshire (Sleeps 1-9)

An enjoyable and memorable holiday awaits you in one of these spacious and comfortable self-catering holiday cottages in North Yorkshire.

Noelle's Cottages offers two self-catering holiday cottages situated within the grounds of Middleton Hall, a Georgian house close to Pickering, on the edge of the North York Moors. Each holiday cottage is set in its own secluded garden, providing you with privacy to relax and enjoy the beautiful and peaceful surroundings.

The Barn
1 - 5 guests, 1 Double bedroom, 1 Twin bedroom, 1Single bedroom, 2 bathrooms. No pets.

A luxurious and stylish barn conversion, with a professionally designed contemporary interior, including revealed stone walls and original barn roof trusses. Two attractive, professionally designed gardens.

Downstairs:
The large patio doors open into the spacious garden. Roof lights let plenty of natural light into the main space with a fully equipped kitchen, large extendable dining table and comfortable sofa area, with a flat-screen TV. There are remotely controlled blinds to reduce heat gain in summer and to exclude the early morning sunshine for those in the twin bedroom.

North Side:
There is a snug, cosy sitting room, with a second flat-screen TV and DVD player. The wood-burning stove makes for a relaxed atmosphere in which to unwind on a winter's evening. A comfortable sleeping area, with a separate dressing area on a mezzanine floor, is accessed up the elegant glass and walnut stairs. The blue wet room with central power shower and the utility room complete this part of Barn’s accommodation.

South Side:
At the south end of the Barn, accessed by a separate walnut staircase, is a twin mezzanine bedroom looking out across original barn beams. The twin beds will convert into a superking-sized bed upon request. Below is a luxurious bathroom with a deep bath and separate power shower, toilet and basin. Next to it is a room, which doubles as a study, or it can be converted into a single bedroom and is suitable for less able guests.

Outside:
Two attractive, professionally designed, private gardens. One is an Italian-style pebble courtyard full of structural plants and shapes with a patio and large wooden seated area for group meals; the other is a hidden gem for a romantic evening, catching the setting sun.

The Coach House
1 - 4 guests, 1 King bedroom, 1 Twin bedroom, each with ensuite bathroom. Downstairs WC. Pets welcome.

The Coach House is a beautiful cottage nestled in the orchard of Middleton Hall, in the picturesque village of Middleton, near Pickering. This wonderfully cosy self-catering cottage retains some of the original stabling and offers a quintessentially English country cottage experience.

Downstairs:
The ground floor whilst providing separate areas, naturally flows from the comfortable sitting room with wood burning stove and two sofas, through the hall with the original stable feature, to the lovely dining room with seating for six, and on into the well-equipped kitchen, with a WC beyond. There is underfloor heating throughout the ground floor. French doors open out from the dining room onto the attractive cottage-style garden.

Upstairs:
The stairs lead up to a delightful master bedroom with a king-sized bed and an en-suite bathroom complete with a rain shower. Along the landing is a spacious twin bedroom with two single beds and an ensuite bathroom with a bath and hand shower. The twin beds convert into a superking-sized bed upon request.

Outside:
The cottage has a private and enclosed cottage-style garden. The Coach House is set in the orchard with mature trees and wildlife.

Visiting Middleton & Exploring North Yorkshire
Noelle's Cottages are 1.5 miles out of the market town of Pickering, which is the home of the North York Moors Railway, a heritage steam railway, and Pickering Castle. For children, the Flamingo Land theme park is under 5 miles away and Dalby Forest, offering children's activities, cycling and walking trails, is 14 miles away.

The location is 3 miles from the North York Moors National Park, one of the largest areas of open heather moorland in Europe offering outstanding walking and views across the vale of York and the east coast. The coast at Scarborough, Whitby and Filey is 18 miles away.

The Castle Howard estate is 14 miles away and the heritage sites of Rievaulx Abbey, Byland Abbey and Whitby Abbey are within easy driving distance. From the cottages you can walk into open countryside in 2 minutes, and the moors are just 3 miles away. In Middleton we recommend the nearby Middleton Arms - a small, family and dog-friendly village pub in North Yorkshire. Serving home-cooked food and fine ales. Also in Middleton is the Middleton Tea Parlour offering delicious afternoon teas and lunches in a homely front room setting.

The nearby Shell garage has a Spar supermarket that is well stocked for daily necessities.
