Comfortable sofas, a television, and sturdy hand-painted furniture create a cosy atmosphere for relaxation. A selection of board games and an array of books, including biographies and local history titles, provide plenty of entertainment. The separate dining area, overlooking the garden, offers a comfortable and intimate setting for meals. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, ensuring modern connectivity.
The fully equipped kitchen is both practical and charming, featuring a fridge, freezer, electric oven, hob, microwave, and dishwasher. Essential utensils, from a corkscrew to a garlic press, are thoughtfully provided. The River Bladnoch, just across a field from the cottage, offers opportunities for salmon and trout fishing, with day permits available. Within walking distance, a traditional child-friendly pub and restaurant with a beer garden sit on the riverbank, providing a welcoming spot to unwind. Bladnoch is also home to Scotland’s southernmost distillery, a beautifully preserved complex that produces fine malts and offers daily tours and whisky tastings. A country house pub and restaurant are also within easy reach, adding to the cottage's appeal.
