Linskeldfield Cottages offer a peaceful and relaxing Lake District holiday experience, set within a 200-acre working farm. Located up a private lane, the cottages are nestled in a rural and tranquil area while still being just a few miles from the local towns of Keswick and Cockermouth. These towns provide a variety of shops, restaurants, and essential services, while the local pub, located four miles away, serves delicious home-cooked meals and local ales.
These four self-contained, luxury holiday cottages are converted from barns and are furnished to a very high standard to meet the needs of holidaymakers. Each cottage comes with free Wi-Fi, fully equipped kitchens, and spacious living areas, making them ideal for families and groups. You can also book multiple cottages at once to accommodate larger groups—up to 16 people, with discounts available for group bookings.
Each cottage has a fully fitted kitchen with all necessary appliances, including a dishwasher and microwave. There is ample fridge space, and an extra fridge and freezer space is available in the laundry room. Travel cots, highchairs, and many other children’s items are available at no extra cost. All cottages are equipped with a laundry room featuring washing and drying facilities. Ample parking is provided, and there are communal outdoor spaces for everyone to enjoy.
The fully enclosed children’s play area features football nets, a children’s adventure tower with slides and swings, and plenty of space for outdoor fun. The purpose-built games room with a pool table, darts, and a games console provides even more entertainment for all ages.
Badgers Den Cottage sleeps two people and offers spacious, open-plan living with a luxurious underfloor heated wet room. The zip-and-link bed can be arranged as either twin beds or a double. It is fully accessible and has room for a travel cot.
Otters Pocket Cottage sleeps four and has a fully fitted kitchen, a comfortable living area, and two upstairs bedrooms. One is a twin room, and the other is a double room. Both rooms have stunning views of the fells. The bathroom features a bath with an over-bath shower.
Squirrels Drey Cottage sleeps four and has an airy mezzanine design, with a king-size bedroom, a twin room, and a bathroom with an over-bath shower. The living space features a fully fitted kitchen, dining area, and seating with views over our birdwatching tarn.
Osprey's Nest Cottage sleeps six and has a downstairs twin bedroom, pull-out chair bed, and a shower room. Upstairs, there’s an open-plan kitchen, dining, and seating area with magnificent views. There are two more bedrooms, a double and a twin, along with a family bathroom.
For a more outdoorsy experience, there are three camping pods and a campsite onsite. Spa access at a local hotel, which includes a swimming pool and hot tub, is available on booking. The farm features a natural birdwatching tarn, home to swans, otters, and various water birds. Dodd Woods, a popular spot for viewing ospreys, is just a 10-minute drive away.
