Court Farm Holiday Cottages are 3 self-catering cottages located a short walk from the centre of Exford near Minehead, Somerset. Our pet friendly holiday cottages are in an ideal location for those who want to explore the Exmoor National Park and escape the stresses of modern-day living. The cottages are surrounded by countryside and are ideal for couples, a family or a group of friends who want to visit this beautiful part of England.

All 3 of our cottages are dog friendly, although dogs are not allowed upstairs in the cottages.

For those of you who ride horses or cycle there are many and varied breathtaking views which can be accessed directly from the bridleway running through our farm, so why not bring your dogs, horses (or cycle) for a holiday on Exmoor too!

Situated by the River Exe you can watch the varied and rare wildlife or walk across the moor to see the Exmoor Red Deer and the endangered Exmoor ponies. With so many footpaths and bridleways, it's doggy heaven here. We also offer a service where we will look after your dogs if you want to go somewhere dogs are cannot be taken.

Quarme Cottage offers superb self catering accommodation in Exford. Based near Minehead in Somerset, it is nestled just off a bridleway to Dunkery Beacon in the centre of Exmoor National Park. It is a paradise for countryside lovers and enjoys magnificent views over Winsford Hill.

The beautiful cottage has been fully modernised to offer high-quality accommodation. The property sleeps up to 6 people.

The homely sitting room comes with a toasty wood-burning stove, TV, DVD player and radio. A lovely spot for relaxing with friends or family after a day in the countryside. A spacious breakfast room/kitchen comes with a range of appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. French doors open onto a lovely enclosed yard. You can also unwind in the delightful conservatory/garden room which has a wood burner stove, corner sofa and slate dining table, perfect for reading a good book over a cup of coffee.

Two twin bedrooms and a bathroom are upstairs and one twin room and bath/shower room are downstairs.

Outside there is a delightful garden and a great outdoor area for older children on its terraced slope. Small children would need to be supervised in this area but there is a secure gated yard.

Just a 1/2 mile walk away down a peaceful lane you will find the village shops, including a post office and general store. Within easy reach are Porlock, Dulverton, Dunster, Lynton and Minehead. Horseriding can also be arranged easily in the area. Great attractions to visit during your stay include:

Exmoor Owl and Hawk Centre.

Wimbleball Lake Country Park.

Dunster Water Mill.

Dunster Castle.

Minehead Beach.

Chapel Cottage, Exford, Somerset, Exmoor National Park

Chapel Cottage offers wonderful accommodation close to the Devon-Somerset border, nestled in the centre of Exford. Our charming property is an excellent base for those wishing to discover everything the Exmoor National Park has to offer.

This superb property sleeps up to 6 people and is a true home from home.

The open plan kitchen is fully equipped and comes with a dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, microwave, a radio/CD player and plenty of crockery, glasses etc. The comfortable dining area opens out through double doors onto a large patio overlooking the village green; perfect for al fresco dining or a summer barbecue. The cosy lounge boasts a log burning stove and ample comfortable seating to curl up on, as well as HD TV and DVD player. 

The bedrooms are particularly spacious, comprising of one double room on the first floor (with a super king size bed) and one twin/double room on the top floor. The twin beds can be linked to make a wonderfully wide double bed. The top room also contains a sofa that easily pulls out into two guest beds, providing ideal sleeping accommodation for children.

Our large, immaculate main bathroom (with a shower over the bath, hand basin, bidet and WC) is on the first floor. On the ground floor, there is a large shower room with a hand basin, WC, washing machine and excellent drying facilities. All linen, towels and a small welcome pack of local produce are provided. Private off street parking for two cars is available opposite the cottage.

There are over 700 miles of paths and bridleways, over rugged moorland or alongside babbling brooks and many stunning walks pass through Exford. For instance, there is a path north from the village to Exford Common and on to Dunkery Beacon, the highest point on Exmoor, with outstanding views over 7 counties. Many more walks are detailed in the cottage.

Quarme was once a kennels but today is a modern self catering property. It is situated off a bridleway with views of Winsford Hill. The local amenities of Exford are half a mile away. Minehead in Somerset is within easy reach. This coastal town is 12 miles from Devon and ideal for exploring Exmoor.

Exford lies on the River Exe and it is at the heart of the Exmoor National Park. The village has a Post Office and shop.

This area is ideal for outdoor activities including walking and horse riding. There are walks over the moor direct from the property. Horse riding can be arranged locally.

Minehead is just over 13 miles away. This seaside resort has shops, places to eat, nightlife and a sandy beach. Just a stroll from the seafront is Blenheim Gardens which is the towns largest park. From the town are various beautiful areas of Somerset to visit.

Somerset is the jewel of the South West. It has quaint villages, open countryside and world famous attractions. These include Glastonbury Festival, Cheddar Gorge and Exmoor.
