Sleeping up to 13 guests, this spacious property is ideal for group getaways, family reunions, celebrations, and special occasions. Tastefully furnished throughout, the house is equipped to a high standard, ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests.

The large property features a spacious front lounge, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Facilities include a TV, wood burner, and dining table. The well-equipped kitchen offers a range of appliances to cater for larger groups.

There are six bedrooms in total, including a downstairs twin room. Upstairs, guests will find one queen room, three twin-bedded rooms, and one room containing a queen bed and a single bed.

Outside, there is a rear yard backing onto a private field owned by the property. Part of the field is mown and furnished with picnic tables, providing a pleasant outdoor space for guests to enjoy.

Visiting Ennerdale Bridge & Exploring The Lake District

Situated in the heart of the village, the property is just 200 metres from two welcoming pubs serving delicious food. The Lake District National Park is a popular destination for walkers and cyclists, offering a diverse range of landscapes and outdoor activities. Within 10 miles are the historic towns of Cockermouth and Whitehaven.

Heckbarley, Ennerdale Bridge, Cumbria (Sleeps 1-10)

Heckbarley is a self catering holiday home in Ennerdale Bridge, within the beautiful backdrop of the Lake District National Park in Cumbria. The cottage can sleep up to ten people and is a wonderful place for a family or a group of friends to relax, unwind and enjoy each other’s company.

The property has been beautifully designed and tastefully decorated and furnished to ensure guests are comfortable during their stay.

Upstairs there are four bedrooms (one en suite) and a bathroom with a ‘whirlpool’ bath. 

The enclosed garden enjoys sun all day and the cottage can be reached through the patio doors in the living room. They open out onto a west-facing patio where you can enjoy the last of the sunshine over a barbecue. A snooker table and tennis table are available in the garage.

The cottage is located in the heart of the village. Fifty metres away is the village pub and the Shepherds Arms Hotel which serves wonderful meals. There is an excellent playground just 100 metres down the road, just over the bridge.

The Lake District National Park is always popular with walkers and cyclists due to the variety of scenery on offer. Ennerdale provides low-level lakeside and forest walks as well as routes onto the high fells.
