For those seeking adventure, Beinn Mhor is nearby, and the area is surrounded by forests, rivers, and lochs, making it perfect for activities such as mountain biking, fishing, and quad biking. Puck’s Glen, a captivating wooded gorge, lies just behind the lodge, offering an enchanting experience for keen walkers. A peaceful riverside walk along Glen Massan is also just a few minutes away on foot.

Feorag Lodge, Dunoon, Argyll (Sleeps 1-6)


Feòrag Lodge is a privately owned lodge located in acres of the Argyll Forest Park. It provides comfortable accommodation on the outskirts of Dunoon.

Accommodation
It offers an:

Exterior covered deck.
Spacious lounge with vaulted ceiling, a mini library, toys and games, iPod docking, CD player and assorted discs, DVD player and flat screen smart TV with Amazon Firestick and Netflix.
1 King and 2 twin bedrooms.
Bathroom with shower and WC.
Kitchen/diner with ample room for 6 at large pine table.

The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washer/tumble dryer, kettle, blender etc. together with all cooking utensils, tableware and glassware.

There is private parking for 2 cars and a picnic table area outside. The lodge has electric heating and double glazing throughout.

Onsite there are 18 lodges in total with communal gardens set over 12 acres.

Location
Feòrag Lodge is a perfect bolthole. Whether for an adventure based family holiday, a romantic hideaway, a wildlife watching break or as a comfortable and convenient base for touring the beautiful Cowal Peninsula, the beauties of West Argyll or further afield.

One of the small collection known as Lamont Lodges, Feòrag Lodge is located on the Western edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park within the Argyll Forest Park. It is less than a mile’s walk to the celebrated Benmore Botanic Garden with its towering Douglas Fir, giant Redwoods and miles of walks and trails. The lodge lies at the edge of mountain forest and Puck’s Glen where 6 miles of trails offer spectacular views. For the more ambitious walker, there is a huge variety of options from walking the high tops, to long coastal sorties with the enchantment of deep glens between. Probably Scotland’s most beautiful freshwater glacial loch, Loch Eck, lies a mile away. The coasts of the Firth of Clyde and Loch Fyne are 15 minutes distant. Fishing, golf, mountain biking, bird/wildlife watching, sailing and photography, are all popular activities.

Glasgow (c. 1hr 30m), Edinburgh (c. 2hr 30m) with their cultural, historic and retail attractions are an easy day trip using Western Ferries from Hunter’s Quay (4 miles) to Gourock, from where you are soon on the M8. The beautiful Georgian town of Inverary is c. 45 mins distant on the west side of Loch Fyne and offers Inverary Castle, the home of the Dukes of Argyll. The Trossachs and the glories of Perthshire and Stirlingshire are roughly 2 hours distant while the local main town with a wide array of shops, Dunoon, is 15 minutes (6 or so miles) away. Dunoon has an excellent swimming pool and fitness centre and is the home of Cowal Golf Club, an excellent course designed by Braid in 1891. Dunoon is also the site of the world’s largest annual Highland Gathering, the Cowal Games, which takes place over the last weekend in August. Less than a mile from the lodge is Cot House services which offers one of the best priced little supermarkets around.

2 Lamont Lodges, Rashfield, Dunoon, Argyll, Bute & The Islands (Sleeps 1-6)


2 Lamont Lodges is one of a series of privately owned log-built cabins (or lodges) situated within a small woodland village on the edge of the Argyll Forest Park. Ideally set within the boundary of Scotlands first national park, the accommodation can sleep up to 6 people. 

Accommodation comprises a dining area/kitchen with pine table and benches, a separate living area (with views to the hills), one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, one bedroom with a bunk bed/double futon & a bathroom (with shower).

There are local Ordnance survey maps and books of walks provided. These are all for your use and enjoyment but the owners ask that you take care of them so that others may benefit from them as well.

The Coach House, Kilmun, Dunoon, Argyll (Sleeps 1-6)


The Coach House offers self catering accommodation located on the edge of the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park in Kilmun. Our cottage is just a short drive from Dunoon and is a superb base for those wishing to explore Argyll.

This very well appointed house stands in the grounds of an early 20th Century Villa and is an excellent conversion of a former Coach House. It has spectacular views over the Holy Loch and comfortably sleeps six and it provides an excellent base for touring the beautiful county of Argyll.

Downstairs is a comfortable lounge and large sun lounge with dining area which overlooks the Holy Loch. The kitchen is well equipped and French doors open onto the garden. A downstairs double bedroom is available and there is also a shower and toilet. Upstairs is a lounge area, twin bedroom, double bedroom and bathroom.

There are some fabulous pubs and restaurants nearby, including the famous Whistlefield Hotel with its pub meals and tales of smugglers. It's a fantastic base from which to tour the west coast of Scotland – Inveraray, Tarbert, Portavadi, and Oban are all easily accessible for a day trip out.
