Hilary's Cottage and Garden Cottage offers lovely self catering accommodation in the very pretty village of Swaffham Prior. Our cottages are around 8 miles from the city of Cambridge and in a brilliant location for exploring Cambridgeshire.

Hilary’s Cottage

The cottage has a living room with Sky TV, free wifi and leather sofa. The fully equipped kitchen diner has a cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer. There is also a utility room. There are three bedrooms - a ground floor king size double and then upstairs there is a master en-suite king size double bedroom and a twin bedroom. The beds have continental quilts and sheets and linen is included. Outside there is a secluded garden with table and chairs and there is also one large off road parking space. There is additional parking outside of the cottage.

Garden Cottage

The self catering cottage has a living area which includes a flat screen TV with basic Sky package and a multi fuel fire. The kitchen is well equipped with a cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer. Outside there is a secluded garden which has seating. There are 2 bedrooms - a king size double and a twin room plus an extra small bed. Outside there is a secluded garden with patio furniture for al fresco dining. Parking available for up to 2 cars.

Swaffham Prior & the surrounding area

The historical village of Swaffham Prior has two churches in one churchyard side by side and there are numerous timber framed houses dating back to the Knights Templar. There is also a working windmill you can visit that sells flour. There is a bus which runs from Cambridge to Newmarket and passes through lots of nearby villages and there is a cycle path as well. The local pub, The Red Lion serves good food and the nearby village of Swaffham Bulbeck has a general stores and post office. Other places to visit include:

Ely Cathedral.

Duxford Air & Space Museum.

Anglesey Abbey.

Wicken Fen.

National Horse Racing Museum.

Fullers Hill Cottages, Little Gransden, Sandy, Cambridgeshire (Sleeps 1-21)

Fullers Hill Cottages once historic farm barns are now six-holiday cottages. Located close to the village of Little Gransden. The village is a short drive to the market town of Sandy, Cambridgeshire. It is an ideal base for exploring nearby Cambridge. The cottages have been carefully and tastefully renovated to offer quality accommodation.

The Old Dairy - sleeps up to six people. It has a twin, double with a super king-size bed and a sofa bed in the living area.

The Stables - sleeps up to five people with one bedroom with a super king bed, a sofa bed sleeping two and room for another person to sleep in the entrance lobby area.

The Hayloft - sleeps up to four people in a super king-size bed and a twin room.

The Tack Room - sleeps up to four people in a king-size and twin room. It has its own private hot tub and BBQ facilities.

Granary – This spacious accommodation is ideal for families or groups. It can accommodate six in two en suite rooms and a sofa bed. It is next to the gardens, hot tub and wildlife pond.

Apple Cottage – This traditional property provides accommodation for six people. The two attractive bedrooms are a double and twin. Extra sleeping is available on a sofa bed.

Number 1 – Our most recent renovation sleeps up to 6 people in a double and twin. Extra sleeping for 2 adults is available on the very large sofa bed.

All properties include a dishwasher, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, oven, hob, cooking utensils, cutlery, glass and tableware. The Old Dairy also has a washer/dryer and the Hayloft, The Stable and The Tack Room have access to the communal laundry room.

The lounge areas have comfortable sofas, a large TV with Freeview, a Blu-ray DVD player, Free Wi-Fi and a music docking station.

There is a communal hot tub, table tennis facilities, BBQ and garden area. This is the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine whilst enjoying the jets and LED lights in the hot tub.

All bed linen, towels, robes, kids ponchos, cleaning products, toiletries, tea, coffee, milk, sugar, biscuits, board games, cots and highchairs are provided.

Breakfast hampers and supper boxes are available. These must be pre-booked and paid for upon arrival.

Extra special features can be provided including a private chef, wine tasting, spa treatments, fresh flowers and more.

Fullers Hill Cottages are rated as one of the best in Little Gransden. Nearby Sandy provides easy access to London, Cambridge, Stevenage and Bedford.

There are a range of things to do in the local area including golf, horse riding, walking, fishing, flying, gliding and mountain biking. Guests can visit Wimpole Hall Farm which has sheep, goats, pigs and horses.

Hilary’s Cottage is a detached Victorian cottage situated in the village of Swaffham Prior. It is only four miles from Newmarket, the horse racing headquarters of Britain and only nine miles from the historic city of Cambridge.

The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, microwave and a cooker. There is 1 en-suite bathroom and one communal, both have baths with shower attachments. There is a living room with free wifi, a basic Sky Television package and a large leather sofa. To the rear of the cottage there is a small secluded garden with furniture for outdoor seating.

Swaffham Prior is situated 8 miles from Cambridge, 5 miles from Newmarket and 12 miles from Ely. The village is serviced by a number 10 bus to Cambridge that runs every hour. There is a nice pub that serves food – The Red Lion. There are many historic houses in the village and is known locally for having two churches in one church yard.

All linen, towels and utilities are included within the rent. The cottage is available for short and long term lets.

Red House Farm is a working arable farm located to the north of the quiet village of Great Eversden, in the heart of rural South Cambridgeshire. The cottages are in the recently converted Rose Barn in the original farmyard. The courtyard is bounded by traditional timber framed barns and is a wonderful sun trap.

Our two charming self catering cottages have been decorated and furnished to a high standard. Each cosy cottage has a bathroom and two bedrooms, one cottage sleeps 4 people and the other cottage sleeps 3 people. The fully fitted kitchens include a washing machine and dishwasher. The comfortable lounge area has a TV and DVD player. Both cottages have a downstairs cloakroom. 

The farm is located to the north of the quiet village of Great Eversden, through which the Greenwich Meridian Line runs. Our peaceful location is perfect for a relaxing holiday. Guests are encouraged to take advantage of our rural setting, by using our farm walk map, which links to numerous footpaths leading to Wimpole Hall or Cambridge. The farm is within easy reach of the excellent Park and Ride system around Cambridge. Royston railway station is a short drive for visits to London, Kings Cross Station.

It has a good selection of traditional pubs with restaurants, an excellent butcher selling local produce, a greengrocer with fruit and vegetables from his own farm and a variety of other shops including a Co-op, Post Office and cash point. The surrounding area includes excellent walks, particularly through the local nature reserve.
