Inchmurrin Self Catering
Inchmurrin Self Catering is located on Inchmurrin, the largest island on Loch Lomond, Scotland's largest loch. Situated just 30 minutes from Glasgow and reached by a short ferry crossing from the mainland, Inchmurrin offers guests an authentic Loch Lomond experience where traditional hospitality and a relaxed pace of life remain at the heart of every stay.
The island provides self-catering accommodation, a restaurant, bar, function suite, moorings, and free berthing for boats. A ferry service is available for guests, while several jetties can accommodate visitors arriving by their own boats. The restaurant caters for all occasions, from casual bar meals to wedding receptions for up to 80 guests.
Guests can enjoy the island's peaceful surroundings while taking part in a variety of activities including sailing, fishing, water skiing, boating, and exploring the island. The ferry service also allows easy access to the mainland and the many attractions throughout the Loch Lomond area. Private car parking and a boat slip are available for guests at the mainland jetty.
There are four self-catering units available, sleeping eight, six, six, and four guests respectively. All accommodation has been awarded a 3 Star Visit Scotland rating. Electricity, fresh linen, and towels are included in the tariff.
The Ben
The Ben is a detached cedar-clad holiday cottage with its own private sun deck, garden, and beach. Located in the shadow of the remains of Lennox Castle, it is approximately a 10-minute walk from the island's bar and restaurant.
Sleeping up to eight guests, the cottage has been fully refurbished and features a kitchen with open-plan dining and lounge area, two double bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms, two twin bedrooms, and a family bathroom. The fully equipped kitchen includes an electric oven and hob, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge-freezer, and fitted units.
The cottage benefits from electric heating and a coal fire in the lounge, with logs and coal stored in a garden shed. A barbecue is also provided. While there is no telephone, mobile phone reception is generally adequate. The Ben enjoys a stunning lochside location with spectacular views across Loch Lomond and the surrounding hills.
Balloch Apartment
Balloch Apartment is a compact lochside self-catering apartment sleeping up to four guests. It comprises a lounge/dining room, fully equipped kitchen, twin bedroom, en-suite double bedroom accessed via steep stairs, and a shower room. Guests can relax on the patio overlooking the loch, and a barbecue is provided.
Boturich Apartment
Boturich Apartment is a spacious self-catering apartment with a patio overlooking the loch. Sleeping between four and six guests, it features a lounge with a double sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen with dining area, one twin bedroom with en-suite shower room, a second twin bedroom, and a family bathroom.
Balmaha Apartment
Balmaha Apartment is a comfortable self-catering apartment with a patio overlooking the gardens and Loch Lomond. Accommodating between four and six guests, it includes a lounge with a double sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen with dining area, a double bedroom with en-suite shower room, a twin bedroom, and a family bathroom.
