Carpenters Cottage offers three-bedroom, two-bathroom self-catering holiday accommodation for up to five guests in Derbyshire. Ideally located close to the attractions of the Peak District National Park, the cottage is also within walking distance of the town of Matlock via a scenic riverside walk along the River Derwent.
Accommodation
Carpenters Cottage is situated within a sensitively converted 18th-century flour mill complex. The property has been awarded a Four Star rating by VisitEngland and provides comfortable accommodation for families, walkers and cyclists looking to explore the beautiful Derbyshire countryside.
The spacious lounge and dining area features seating for up to eight guests, with two comfortable sofas and an electric coal-effect fire creating a welcoming focal point. Guests can enjoy a TV with Netflix, a DVD player and a selection of pre-recorded DVDs. Windows to both the front and rear of the property provide plenty of natural light, while French doors open onto a balconied deck. Steps lead down to a sunny south-facing paved garden bordered by a traditional dry-stone wall.

The master bedroom features twin beds that can be configured as a large double bed if required. The room benefits from an en-suite bathroom with an electric shower, wash basin and toilet. Additional furnishings include a full-size wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables and mirrors. The south-facing window overlooks the picturesque Lumsdale Valley.
The second bedroom offers a full-size double bed with access from both sides, along with a wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables and a mirror.
The third bedroom contains a full-size single bed, bedside table, wardrobe space and a mirror.
Outside, guests can enjoy a compact garden complete with decking and a barbecue area. Two designated tandem parking spaces are available in the mill's private off-road car park.
