Access to the property for the last 100 metres is via an ancient highway – which is an unmade road. Approaching the property this way really makes you feel that you are escaping the stresses of modern day living. At the end of the road is a beautiful, open plan retreat.

The house can sleep up to 5 people in 3 double bedrooms, one of which has en suite facilities. The living/kitchen/dining area opens out onto two generous outdoor dining terraces. With oak flooring throughout, the finishes are clean, modern and light.

This ancient woodland is home to a myriad of wildlife including wild boar, muntjac deer, bats and a plethora of birdlife.

A short drive away is the port town of Rye. The historic hilltop town is a top tourist attraction with its winding cobbled streets, medieval buildings and rich mix of quirky shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants.

The charming cottage in Devon is the ideal base to explore the local area. It can be let as a whole to accommodate 14 people or as separate properties. The Farmhouse sleeps 6, The Barn sleeps 6 and The Granary sleeps 2.

Located in the centre of Croyde, the cottage is only a 5 minute walk to local amenities such as shops, pubs, restaurants and surf shops. The beach is only a 10 minute walk away as well. Apart from Croyde beach there are three other sandy beaches to visit. Saunton Sands, Putsborough and Woolacombe Bay are perfect for surfing, sunbathing, kite flying and beachcombing.

The National Trust coastline and the Tarka Trail are ideal for walkers and further afield in Barnstaple you can go shopping or visit the charming seaport.

For the adventurous, the views of Suilven, Cul Mor, Cul Beag, and Stac Pollaidh from the house should whet the appetite. Closer to home there are fine walks in any direction from the house.
