Kempley Barns offers three self catering barns set within 50 acres of garden at Upton Bishop near Ross-on-Wye. We are a fantastic place to stay for families and friends who are looking for a break away and a great base from which to explore the Malvern Hills and Wye Valley, both of which are designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The Bullpen sleeps 2 & is adjacent to the Hayloft and has a sunny aspect looking south-west across the meadows and orchards. The slick kitchen adjoins the open plan vaulted living area. The dining area is perfect for a romantic meal, where you can be serenaded from the balcony. A sculptured stone spiral staircase leads you from the living area to a glass balconied vaulted sleeping platform with an en-suite bathroom. A welcome hamper, towels, robes and luxurious Egyptian cotton bed linen all add to the comfort of your stay.

The Great Barn sleeps 6 & stands central to the courtyard facing south, making the most of natural daylight and the timeless rural outlook. Two of the double bedrooms are at ground level, one of which is en-suite whilst the other has a wet room suitable for people with limited mobility. They have a heated limestone-clad pool contained within an oak framed building with walls of glass, guaranteeing open panoramic views across the ridgeline. The fully heated indoor pool is available for use by guests, free of charge – we even give you some dressing gowns.
