No 5 Hacklete is a cosy self catering holiday cottage on the beautiful island of Great Bernera, which is part of the Western Isles in the Outer Hebrides. The holiday cottage is set on a croft and has ¾ of an acre of private fenced gardens, with wonderful views of Loch Roag.
This holiday cottage has offered guests self catering accommodation for over 30 years and is a 2 star holiday home that is perfect for couples & families who want to explore this stunning part of Scotland. Dogs are welcome at the holiday cottage and there are plenty of walks that start right from the front door that you and your pooch will enjoy during their stay.
The holiday cottage has beautiful views across the Isle of Lewis and Loch Roag. An evening or early morning stroll to the Loch may be rewarded by the sight of otters on the beach. On Great Bernera there are a number of places worth visiting:
Bosta Beach - A stunning beach in a small cove. Quiet and secluded it’s a perfect place to spend a day on the sand or in the water. With clear blue waters and soft clean sand, it could almost be the Caribbean.
Norse Mill - The restored Norse mill from the Viking era is accessed via footpaths from Breacleat and is signed.
