Lockwood House Holiday Cottages offer lovely self catering accommodation in the beautiful coastal of Dawlish. We are just a short distance from the gorgeous blue flag beach in Dawlish Warren and in the ideal location for exploring Devon.

Accommodation

We have 2 charming properties to choose from. Each cottage is tastefully furnished and well-equipped to suit all your needs, great for a tranquil getaway.

The Roost

Our cosy cottage is great for a relaxing getaway. Inside there is an open plan kitchen/dining and sitting area. Enjoy a restful night’s sleep in the double bedroom. A shower and toilet room includes a wash basin. All bed linen and towels are included. Outside there is a garden with a patio and lawn area, great for unwinding with a glass of wine on a summer’s evening.

The Bungalow

We have delightful accommodation in our two-bedroom bungalow. Bedrooms consist of a double and twin, ideal for a family or group holiday. The bedrooms share a shower and toilet room with a wash basin. All bed linen and towels are included. Unwind in the living room after a day sightseeing. A well-equipped kitchen/dining area is great for home-cooking. Outside there is a garden with a patio and lawn area for al fresco dining over a few glasses of wine.

Visiting Dawlish & Exploring Devon

Our cottages are great for exploring the gorgeous seaside town of Dawlish, home to sandy beaches, amusements, walks, cycle routes, mini golf, family attractions, restaurants, shops and much more. Enjoy a fascinating day out at the Dawlish Museum or visit historic Powerdam Castle. You can also explore the stunning natural scenery at Dawlish Countryside Break. 49 Kittiwake in Dartmouth offers outstanding self catering accommodation in a stunning position. Nestled in an elevated position with spectacular views over the River Dart, we are perfect for a memorable holiday in Devon.

Accommodation:

Our wonderful property is beautifully furnished and boasts incredible views of the estuary, Kingswear and out to the sea.

This bright and sunny house has a lovely king room which enjoys glorious views over the Dart Estuary. On the first floor, a lovely entrance hall with stairs leads to the main reception room below, two bedrooms and the main bathroom. The first bedroom comes with a king size bed and en suite shower room. A family room with a walk-in shower is also available.

Stairs lead to a newly converted bedroom boasting Velux balconies and stunning views of the sea and town. On the upper ground floor is a light filled lounge with two settees, occasional chair, side tables, television, DVD player, a fireplace and a Juliette balcony to savour the view from.

On the lower ground floor is an open plan kitchen/dining area, including a gas double oven, microwave, fridge, wine store and dishwasher.

Outside there a decking area with lots of seating areas, offering a great spot for a glass of wine whilst admiring the views. There is also a small garden area and a decking area offers seating for al fresco dining when the sun is shining.

Visiting Dartmouth & Exploring Devon:

Dartmouth has a wide range of shops available. You’ll find a Spar, Somerfield, local paper shop and outside the village there is a Sainsburys. Dartmouth Castle sits atop a rocky outcrop at the mouth of the River Dart and enjoys stunning sea views. Dartmouth Museum has a maritime theme and tells the rich history of Dartmouth’s past. Excellent attractions in the local area include:
