Set on the outskirts of Whalton near Morpeth, Paddock Cottage sits on a sprawling 630-acre family-run farm in Northumberland, often regarded as England's Border County for its pristine rural landscapes.

This comfortably furnished cottage accommodates up to 4 guests and a baby, available for rental throughout the year. Its strategic location offers easy access to both Edinburgh and Newcastle, making it an ideal hub for holidaymakers exploring the region.

Inside, the cottage features an entrance hall, dining room, sitting room, and a fully fitted kitchen on the ground floor. Upstairs, guests will find one double room with an adjoining small room suitable for a cot, a twin-bedded room, and a well-appointed bathroom equipped with bath, shower, toilet, hand basin, and shaver point. The entire property is centrally heated via oil, ensuring warmth and comfort year-round thanks to its superior insulation and double-glazed windows.

The kitchen is equipped with modern amenities including electric ovens, split-level hobs, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven, and washer/dryer, along with standard appliances like irons and electric kettles. For entertainment, the cottage is furnished with a television.

Outside, guests can enjoy a secure private garden with a barbecue and ample parking space. Water sourced from the farm's own spring meets rigorous environmental standards, while electricity usage is covered in the rental fee. Additionally, all necessary linens, towels, and tea towels are provided; though guests needing a cot or high chair should bring their own bedding.

Exploring the surroundings offers a glimpse into Northumberland's rich offerings. The region boasts stunning golden sandy beaches such as Cresswell, Druridge, Tynemouth, and Alnmouth, with excellent surf spots lining the coast. Paddock Cottage, Whalton, Morpeth, Northumberland (Sleeps 1-4)


Paddock Cottage is situated on the outskirts of Whalton near Morpeth. Set on our family-run farm of 630 acres set in a fantastic rural location in Northumberland, the cottage sleeps up to 4 people and is available throughout the year. 

Downstairs is the entrance hall, dining room, sitting room and fully fitted kitchen. Upstairs is one double room with a small side room big enough for a cot, a twin bedded room and a bathroom with bath, shower, toilet, hand basin and shaver point. 

The kitchen is fully equipped with electric ovens, split level hobs, fridge and freezer, dishwashers and microwave ovens, automatic washer/dryers as well as all the usual items such as irons, electric kettles etc. The cottage also has a television.

There is a safe private garden, a barbecue and plenty of car parking space. The water for the cottage is from our own spring, fully plumbed of course and well up to environmental standards. 

The Northumbrian coastline boasts amazing golden sandy beaches, including Cresswell, Druridge, Tynemouth and Alnmouth. For the surfers, there are some great surf spots all along the coast.

With two Areas Of Outstanding Beauty, one of England's first National Parks, England's largest World Heritage Site and more castles and fortified buildings than any other county in England, there's plenty of places to visit and things to do.
